I would rather the money stay in state than give $1M to a North Texas or Alabama State.

Agree except for the FCS portion. I'm fine with one FCS being on the schedule, but only one, and keep it in state. Helps out the other programs.

Personally, I'd love to see us schedule with either Southern or Grambling for the simple sake of the halftime show.

Hate it too because LSU coaches always go easy on instate schools instead of stomping a mud hole in them and working on team weaknesses. They bring out some vanilla arse game plan and stick with it all game and just try to out talent the other team, which in turn I think only hurts LSU in building chemistry.

what essentially adds up to a junk bond win for LSU.

Junk bonds are high risk but pay high yields. These games are not high risk and winning them doesn’t payoff with high yields.

These games are savings account games, safe but pitiful interest.

It’s good for the fans. You know how many good people from Ruston and elsewhere in Louisiana are going to travel, book hotels and spend a lot of money down here? It’s a big win for all sides involved on and off the field.

Two out of the three times we have played LSU ya'll have won the National Championship. Would prefer scheduling LSU on down years.

it can be a shitty squad; yet these guys are all going out there with their hair on fire trying to prove a point. A lot of times the point is “why didn’t you recruit me” or “we are the best team in the state”. Meanwhile, LSU seems to always play down to them! This LA Tech team has talent! Amir would start for LSU...

These are the reasons I love playing in-state schools. I hate blowouts against cupcakes, I like tough, hard fought wins. They build character.

K and how many of our players would start for Tech?

At least half of our starters would also start for Tech. They are a good squad.

If I had the power, Ineiukd rotate Tulane and Louisiana Tech on the schedule very two years.

Play in Baton Rouge and pay about $800,000 per team and make them purchase their ticket allotment up front.

If Tulane does not bite - rotate Louisiana Tech every 2 years.

UA has to be the douchebaggiest place on Earth. It incorporates the Texas jealousy with the quirkiness of their hillbilly hubris to present an overly exaggerated ego that they are far superior to everyone else despite the fact that you pretty much need a helicopter to travel in quasi-directional lines. But it doesn’t stop there. It is the county-by-county pep rallies that mimick one of the gayest schools of all time (ATM) wherein they literally summon mud wallowing farm animals. I suppose when said animal is your mascot, you have to embrace it with a zeal and a quirkiness found nowhere else in the USA. So their fear, overconfident fear of being exposed as the frauds they are are why they don’t play ASU.

As a Tiger grad living in NW Arkansas, I could not agree more!!

This thread is terrible and you should feel terrible.

Wait, you do feel terrible, because we’re playing an instate school.

Goodwill for the state. You help to booster instate programs that way.

I don't mind it, but I do like to limit it to one team per year as it does put some added pressure on some players in my opinion.

However, what I think you need to keep in mind is that LSU typically has nothing to gain from these games other than a simple win. However, the in state school has everything to gain, a massive victory that they will remind us of for forever. Keep that in mind and set expectations and you'll be fine.
