90% of your post doesn’t have a season result to warrant the best season.

The answer is 2009-2010, overall

2009 Baseball National championship
2010 Football 11-2, Bowl win
2009 Football #1 recruiting class
2010 Softball 45-16 top 15
2009 Track and Field top 5
2009 Woman’s basketball NCAA tourney appearance
2009/10 Gymnastics super 6, multiple Individual Nat champs included
2009 & 2010 Volleyball 1st SEC

This thread makes me wonder why fans are so disgruntled all the time. This program as a whole has had so much success in my lifetime.

Losing to Florida, getting embarrassed by Bama again, and the debacle in College Station in the same season? Greatest ever?

@005-2006 was the season I was thinking as well. This year has potential but lets get Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Track & Field in the bag before we decide.

Any year we have had a championship in one of the 3 big sports is better than this one so far. Lets see how basktball and baseball play out first.

1986:

Football finished no. 5
Basketball: Final Four
Baseball: College World Series appearance

You realize for 2018-2019 that basketball season isn't finished and baseball season hasn't even started?

The 1986 final four b-ball team and the 1986 CWS team were part of the 85-86 school year. The 85 football team was pistol whipped in the liberty bowl by an average Baylor team finishing ranked #20.

As another poster pointed out this wasn't in a single "school year." IMO, this was our best big-3 year.

But I don't think we finished at #5 in football after '86. That was '87. We did win the SEC in football and played in a major bowl (Sugar). That was more meaningful then than now with playoff.

I think Louisville in '12 beat UF in the Sugar, won the natty in hoops and made the CWS in baseball. Hevkuva yesr.
