As Solid of a running back core as we have. RS HAS WHEELS!!! With LSU's great blocking and end containment he could tear up the outside run. IMO

We threw the ball 27 times last night. If RS can catch what's thrown to him, he's going to have a great year. ODB looks fantastic out there, and so does Landry, but Shep is going to get his chances.

Shep will still make his mark at LSU before he is done. He is still a specail player.

odb has been a pleasant surprise BUT he avg. 7 yards per catch last night compared to ware avg. 5 yards per run. WE NEED SHEP BACK.

You do understand Shep has averaged 7.5 yards per catch right? He hasn't been a big play guy in the passing game. Randle is our big play guy in the passing game. OBJ looked capable of providing big plays in the passing game against Oregon also.

I don't think Shep will offer as much to our running game with Lee as QB as opposed to JJ. But maybe he can still be effective or maybe we will actually run some wildcat.

I'm not bitching, I'm asking a question while trying to have a serious football discussion.

I think Shep can come in and immediately contribute on a limited number of plays. He's got another year under his belt at WR. I'm willing to give him a shot and see what he's got before I write him off like so many in this thread are doing.

Randle, Shep, OBJ, and Landry/Boone are a pretty stout 4 WR set. Throw in D. Peterson and we have some legit passing options. I think (hope) last night was reason enough for Les and co. to start airing it out more. That will open up some running lanes for Ware/Ford.

people are writing Shep's obituary waaayyyyy too early. he'll be a big contributor this year.

its fricking crazy. We desperately need another effective WR. I dont care how many 7 yard passes ODB is catching.
