Did he even really have a "starting spot" to begin with?

yeah, he was the Z to Randle's X per the depth chart. Beckham was supposed to be the slot.

this is actually perfect. With ODB playing solid it gives us an opportunity to move shep all around the field and allow us to use him in different ways.

Agree, but so far Miles has not shown the foresight to be able to use him properly.

Methinks RS's career at LSU is in jeopardy. #1 dual QB threat coming out of high school, highly touted. "Hybrid" player for college, Les Miles does not know what to do with him or how to properly use his talents.

Shep 38-283-1 TD rec
77-520-4 TD rush

ODB 15-111-0 TD rec
1-15- 0 TD rush

Shep needs to be on the field. He averages 6.7 yards a carry so no, he does not loose his starting job. He will bring alot to this offense when he returns.

we could use his running to stetch the field out horizontally
true story, a couple of end arounds would really open up some holes in the middle of the field

I hope it doesn't come to this. I wish we could mmove Blue to middle linebacker. I bet he could play better than Hatcher with absolutely no knowlege of hte chavis schemes

I think RS has a definite role to play and we will see a guy who is eager as hell to run. I look forward to having RS back on the field.

other than QB, naming a starter for any position on lsu's team is nothing more than a technicality.

means nothing.

To my knowledge, none of this ever happened.

From my understanding, they tried him out at QB in the spring of his freshman year, and maybe a little in fall camp, just to keep their promise to him.

RS was never going to be a QB here. I think even he accepted that without a problem.

I'd rather have RS and RR on the outside with ODBj in the slot.

We need a Home run hitter. Even if he ain't hittin home runs, we need a guy that is a threat to house it from anywhere on the field.

We don't have that without RS on the field right now. RS needs to be on the field.

give him 8 carries a game to ease the load on Ware. I'm worried if Ware gets hurt with his running style that Miles' fallback is Blue as the battering ram, who is a CUSA level talent.

Have to agree. Im not impressed with Blue at all.

Ford looks great. Ware looks even better. I haven't seen enough of Hilliard to make a decision.

Of course, these are all young guys. Scott, Hester, Ridley, and others weren't really stars as freshmen or sophomores either.

With Mettenberger coming in at QB, our stable of RB's including Magee, our young and badass WR's, and our young and ferocious DEFENSE..........LSU football should be a joy to watch at least through 2013.

We've never really used him in this way.

did you miss last yr? he caught 33 balls, tied with Randle for 2nd. most of them were short stuff, bubble screens. he said over the summer that he was excited to be on the outside this year and get some more opportunities downfield.

Another Rant crybaby who can't bear the fact that he has to discuss Tiger football intelligently or critically.

I realized he was there but it was not an impressive use of his talents, not all his fault.
