The Vandy as a 2 seed excuse is convenient. Bottom line is the selection committee is lazy and went by RPI.

Geez, the seeds mean nothing other than how to divide the field up.
Would you prefer to have the #3 seed and matchup instead?
That would give us a super-regional matchup with the K State regional winner (which Arkansas has a very good chance of winning), and then project to putting us on the same side of the board as Vandy in Omaha.

Because football is going to a committee. If we should be a #2 seed instead of #4, that could mean playing the sec champs in the first round of play offs, or us playing a bama team we already beat.

I think they'll choke. But this also further illustrates the point. USCe got to host instead arky because of their brand, even though they got swept at home by them and didn't win one game in the tourney. Also arky is #3 in the league.

They don't seed 9-16. Who cares about Vandy. Everyone's so caught up on Vandy. Vandy has a pretty tough road plus they always choke under Corbin.

Dude this isn't football. It's not about rankings. It's seeding. There is room in the top 8 seeds for the committee to sort out possible matchups down the road and give advantages to certain teams through their seeding. The key here is "positioning"- and the committee positioned us to have a very accessible road to Omaha while avoiding matchups with SEC teams until later. They gave us tremendous consideration. Quit just looking at a number. It's too simplistic and too "football" minded.
