Or do they just want people to use their imagination.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone self impose a bowl ban before without referencing what it goes back to. LSU’s press release read like they did it because the travel agent didn’t call them back in time.

Nope. Just a bunch of PR speak that will cause the reader to click on P-Hub and go about his day.

Hopefully it's pride. Accepting a bowl invite after this season would be shameful.

They are hoping this and the scholarship reduction will make the NCAA go lenient on them.

Self imposing a bowl ban this year is like saying, "You can't fire me! I quit!"

You sure? LINK
Wonder if the scholarship loss starts this recruiting cycle as well.

It’s in addition to the scholarship reductions and recruiting penalties self-imposed in October, per USA Today.

O can’t risk the program having another PR week like this one.

Plus, it’ll give Slingerhan and Pelini more time in the off-season where they really excel. Apparently.

Typically it's the non-legal equivalent to pleading guilty to a lesser charge. Admit some violations and take a small penalty, or let the NCAA dig for something bigger and end up with a major penalty. Couple that with this being a year in which a bowl game could really get ugly, and there you have it.
