CBS did a lot of Bama games. Bama was consistently the best team they covered, so naturally we heard Gary praise them a lot. He did the same for Florida when Tebow was there, and Joe Burrow’s performance against Bama in 2019 literally moved him to tears. He just loves great football, and most of that was at Bama for the last 17 years.

I had to start muting the games he announced, way back when he would draw Superman emblems on Tebows chest. The “oral” support was way to much.

If you watched Verne and Gary call a LSU v bama game and you didn't see that they were heavily slanted toward bama then I don't even know what to say to you. It was so blatant. From Verne hollering "Oh my!" each time bama made a first down to Gary ignoring bama defenders blatantly pulling down LSU receivers with a, "I think that's a good no call."
Or how about when LSU would clearly get a first down and Gary would say, "I don't think they got it. Oh that was a really favorable spot for LSU." bama goes for it on 4th and 2 and the play gets blown up in the backfield and Gary's like, "This one is going to be close but I think they got it!"
I'll give Verne and Gary one thing though, they both had sense enough to know that PP7 clearly got two feet in bounds. That's how clear it was. Even they had to admit the obvious.

Danielson is from the midwest. He has no dog in this hunt.
Here's a thought - maybe Danielson was so complimentary of Alabama because, just maybe, they were the dominant team in the SEC (and the nation) for about 15 years.
Great players and lots of wins and championships tend to generate effusive praise.

Once again, you Danielson fan boys are embarrassing. Even non biased fans can see that Danielson is biased to Bama. Not that it matters anymore Saban is gone and Danielson will be stuck calling Big Ten games for the rest of his career
