That guy was looking at "Les Talk" on the shows Mile's does. I doubt he talked to Les or Cam. Look I would love to see Harris get @ 50% of the snaps and hopefully it will happen. I'm not that worried about both QBs playing many snaps until one is clearly better. Saban did it here and this year to some extent at Bama and Spurrier has always done this. No big deal to me. Not worried about what the pros do.
I actually worry more about the LOS play than the QBs. We knew the QBs might have some problems.

And of course, that means some more reps for Brandon Harris as well. I don't know what his fourth quarter last week means. Something -- Mississippi State was still playing starters, so I don't necessarily buy the "it was against a prevent defense" narrative.
Truth, but don't tell Day. People might get hurt.

We'll see, though about Harris. I'll believe it when I see it.
yep.
I seriously doubt he's anywhere near 50%

Won't be 50/50 if Harris is throwing 30 yd TD passes.

And if he throws a pick or misses a few passes, you assholes and know-it-alls will be saying he's the worst QB in LSU history

Yahoo sports is pretty credible and very much respected fwiw

Yep. The backup QB is the rantards favorite player on the team. Harris looked LOST when he played previously running the wrong play at least twice in one game during his limited snaps.
IMO though we know we aren't a championship team. So why not give Harris the keys because he clearly has more upside? Let him grow up and get experience.

I don't know what I fear more.
LSU doing nothing to improve where they are deficient
OR
LSU doing things to improve where are they deficient, but then not doing them again all season.

I'd like to see more of Harris, but people are being pretty tough on Jennings. I think he has done pretty good overall, but had a tough game last week with inaccurate throws. Plus, we didn't have great O-line play and the running game was basically shut down. Throw in the bad defense and he was in a tough position.
Harris should have come in sooner just to see if anything would click. It did when he was in there. I think he's exciting because he looks much faster (a real threat to run) and has a really good arm. But I have seen enough young QBs to know that they can look great on one outing and look like a completely different QB on the next outing. It's a tough job. We'll likely need both.
It would be nice to see them both get a good bit of time, but we even need work on our running game. It's kind of a different situation for LSU's offense.

Les Miles idea of game planning...don't know why we lost but we looked good last week against New Mexico State at home and these plays worked against them.

Actually, if Les changes plays, offensive schemes, or quarterbacks, it would be a rare moment and go against his decisions based on his tenure here at LSU.
Les plays a conservative offense based on having the best talent. The offense since he has been here has not been hard to figure out. It's the old Michigan offense. Run the football and throw deep.
A wide open play is the reverse or the bubble screen.
I don't expect him to change this Saturday night.
If we are young and the ol is struggling, we should do what teams who have half the talent we have do, spread it out, use misdirections and traps, and roll out the qb. That is what Auburn and Arkansas do, but they still rack up big rushing stats.
Dural and Dupre should always be split out on each side of the ball. Heck, both qbs through a great long ball. Send them both deep and pick the one who is open.
I just don't see LM changing what he believes is the best chance for HIS team to win. Cuz its really HIS team, not ours.

Jarrett Lee threw 16 picks and 6 for pic 6, in 8 games. I doubt Harris comes close to that.

mark my word if Jennings starts the rest of the year we drop out of the top 25 an Harris might transfer if this happens it would be a tragedy this team is lifeless when Jennings is in the game when Harris comes in he just has that IT factor.
There has been nothing to suggest he'd transfer.
Keep that tin foil hat on though.

What do you think the conversation will look like when Les calls Jennings into his office to tell him that Harris will start and why?
Les: I know I promised you that if you came to LSU you will be my starting QB. But, Harris' performance and yours last week made a good case for Harris starting. So would you mind if he started? If so, please tell me you will not transfer next year.
Jennings possible responses:
1. F you I'm going to JUCO right now like Mac Marshall.
2. Coach, I respect your decision. I'll do whatever it takes for LSU to win.
3. But coach, you're wrong. The O line gave me no time to go through my progressions.
4. I promise to do better if you start me. . I will not run again and I've been practicing my short passing game all week.
