I read the report from David Romer. The data included in his study is from only the 1st quarter of NFL games. It's hardly relevant in the 4th quarter with 90 seconds remaining in the game.

Your application of this one was so far off base, I'm not going to waste my time with the other two links.

It played out similarly to the State game. Our O went from great in the first half to can't get a first in the second. We basically had one drive with the fake fg in the second half.

Thankfully we don't have John Chavis or else we'd have two losses.

Some of you "new era" fans are too fricking spoiled. 35, 35 freaking points against UF and yall bitch. Go ask A&M, Ole Miss or Auburn fans how they feel today. UF has a great defense, they made 2nd half adjustments and made life hard for the offense.

Some of these folks don't seem to realize that the teams that LSU plays week to week want to win the game as well. It isn't just LSU that is playing the game to win. Honest to God folks, these other teams have good athletes and good coaches and passionate fanbases and they want to win just as bad as all of us do.

We are definitely not showing everything in the 2nd half. It is almost like the coaches know the pass to the TE over the middle or the slants are available all day if we want to do it. Saving those for Bama!

I think that has been the plan all along, show as little as possible to win, open it up for Bama, destroy them

Last night on multiple occasions we did not pass the ball past the 1st down sticks, rather threw it short and hope our guys can break multiple tackles in order to pick up the first downs...these were drive killing passes...a significant learning opportunity for both Brandon and Cam

you're still risking 20-ish yards for a chance to win the game. that opportunity (to win) is more valuable than the yards

Wrong. Not with 1:30 and no time outs. 2:30 I am on your side. But not 1:30!

Les's decision proved to be the correct call because it won LSU the game. MAYBE your way would have won also but maybe not! Ponder that for a couple of minutes.

Our fan base represented on this forum reminds me of a bunch of out of shape 50 something's who played high school football for a year or 2 until they quit because either a) the coach didn't recognize their talent or b) they were "focusing on other sports"

Thanks! The entire time I was posting, I kept saying to myself "I sure hope STLSU reads this and thinks I'm a superfan."
