I don't think QB play is the cause of as much of our issues as some....I don't think Jennings is a liability. I do think Harris should get at the very least equal snaps. I would be a fan of him getting the start for the next two games and a guarantee of the first half of each game.

I would like to see him prepare as the starter and see how he responds.

Last nights stats are meaningless. His throw to Malachi on the sideline from the off field is not.

against the second string prevent defense....

Tell me this dummy. You think the 2nd string defense was in on that last drive where it was a 1 score game and Harris made an NFL completion before the hail mary..

Also, regardless of the defense, which was tight coverage, he made an incredible throw to Dupre that gave only Dupre the chance to catch it in tight coverage.

Harris' arm strength and ability the throw the ball ALL over the field truly stood out as a noticeable difference last night.

I was done with jennings when he one hopped a pass to a wide open Dupre.

Would've been a sure first down.

I've been a huge supporter of Jennings, but he looked awful last night.

Jennings isn't the answer. Take our lumps this year and get Harris ready.

Jennings throws a nice long pass, but fails with intermediate passes. His game decisions are poor.
Has no intermediate or short passing skills. Can't read defenses and can't go through progressions to find the second or third options. He stares down the primary first option receiver and if he's covered, he runs.

Quinn is open on just about every play, but rarely gets a ball.

TE's are way down the list on the progression chart, so there's no way they're getting any passes. With the two NFL receivers gone, you'd think the TE's would be a good option, but it's way too much to ask for Anthony "Why didn't Mark Richt offer me a scholarship to Georgia" Jennings to go through his reads to find an open TE. It's a strict primary stare down and then a run if he's not open.

This, combined with weak OL, DL and LB's spells big trouble ahead in the coming weeks of Southeastern Conference competition. (Unless the unlikely occurrence of LES having a sudden epiphany and realizing that it's 2014 in Baton Rouge and not 1974 in Ann Arbor)

I still don't understand why people are comparing MSU 1st stringers with 2nd and 3rd stringers playing prevent.

My opinion is Jennings looks panicked, completely lost, and makes poor reads/decisions. Harris is unarguably more talented so if the reason for playing Jennings is "experience" and "grasp of the offense" then based on observation of play that doesn't make sense. Put the more talented QB out there who can't do much worse and give him the experience.

Agree with Quinn being open almost every play over the middle and was never looked at because once again Jennings relies on his long ball the whole game

His throws were nearly perfect

His passes have a perfect spiral and his long throws look almost effortless!

But in the first couple of games when he was able to get some playing time, he looked like dog shite. So maybe he has stepped up his game, but right now him and JJ, I mean Jennings, are very inconsistent.

Yep. Most of those throws were check downs into the flat when the big play was covered. Jennings didn't think to do that very much.

I know what you're saying though. Some of those darts that Harris was throwing would have gotten there too late from Jennings.

Les may either be too stupid or too boneheaded to figure this out. We may have a JJ/JL.2.0.

I don't believe so, but they did change their defense. It didn't work.
