Perkins is going to make a play that will decide the game. Kid has Honey Badgeresque instincts and is about to wreak havoc on a Heisman candidate. He'll be a household name soon.

I read this too fast and my mind added an “a” in there and thought he was arrested and off the team or something

I would put Perkins as the spy on Hooker, and eliminate the big plays we gave up last week by the secondary coming up and trying to stop the run. Hooker may make a play with his legs at some point, but I have faith Perkins can make more plays.

Spy could work on some downs, but I think the best way to beat this offense is contain Hooker, make him throw, and disguise pressures and coverages.

Also, keep them off the field. We need long, sustained, clock eating drives to make sure our defense isn't worn down. UT goes FAST on offense and we aren't the deepest roster.

Coaching, especially on defense, will win or lose this game. If we come out flat and undisciplined, UT can run us out of our own building.

If our defense plays sound and the offense can do enough to keep it close, we might be able to squeak out a win.

House did that at times against Auburn. Imagine we see it again tomorrow. That cat and mouse game will be fun.

The DL has to stay in their gaps though. LSU can’t afford to let Hooker scramble and set his feet for big throws. Got to close the pocket around him.

Flat and undisciplined is how we started against the 3 teams with a pulse so far this season.
And Perkins needs to be on the field to make an impact not sitting on the sidelines. Time to quit messing around and turn our talent loose.
