We are going to see how good this team is when we look at the W/L record after all of the games are played.
My prediction: LSU fans will be very disappointed.
Looking like 8-4 finish and a meaningless bowl game where a lot of players will skip.
Will donors be as willing to donate as they were last year year after this season?

The roster is consistent with a first year coaching staff that was able to partially find pieces (not necessarily great pieces) to plug and play and having to rely on the previous coaches players that, for the most part, were not sought after enough to leave. Look at O line:
So our 2 starters last night were literally backups at other SEC programs. Continuous pressure up the middle from only rushing 4 will kill most offensive schemes and that was the case every drive at the end.

Funny Kentucky was in the same boat as us, honestly probably in a worse position than us and did a better job of putting together a solid O-line and beat us.
Again........................ Lane may win it all in a couple of years but the excuses for that performance yesterday and at KY don't work for me - the poor Lane is a first year coach that took over a dumpster fire and does not have the talent to compete. I watched Bama play Tennessee and the Aggies. I bet given some time I can do the same with their roster y'all are doing with ours.

I disagree. LSU has plenty of talent across the board. They outplayed Bama. LSU looked more talented in most areas except return man, WR, punter, right tackle and maybe QB. Leavitt should’ve had 2 picks, since they dropped one. Wilson made poor return decisions Their receivers didn’t drop balls and made bigger plays. Davis gets beaten too often. Their punter changed the field position. None of those were decisive.
What was decisive were the coaching decisions, including the play calling. LSU had a few 3rd and longs where Baker could’ve played zone to keep them in front, but chose man and got beaten by either QB runs while our CBs were not looking at the QB or rub routes Weis’ play calling is good between the 20s, but lacks creativity in the red zone. Kiffin put LSU in a bind by trying too many long 4th down attempts. 4th and 1 inside the opponent’s field is okay, but not 4th and longs. That should only be done in desperation. Being down 11 points with about 7 minutes left to play and the defense playing well didn’t justify going for 4th and 10 from your 25. The odds of making 10 was far too long.
One other gripe is that while our off line did okay, they allow defenders to leap in front of Leavitt. They need to change their blocking techniques to prevent those leapers, especially on quick throws.

Then what do you suggest we do? Or should we kept BK or hired who?
Arm chair qb are the worst

solid post Grasshopper.
high end talent is there. but it's mixed in with average players and almost no experienced depth at any position. when we get hot, we look like world beaters. when we face an equally talented team or get in a bind, we melt.
Lane and his staff need a few cycles to bring that overall talent level up to where it is at Georgia and Bama.
