Six years ago today, on Friday, November 29, Anthony Jennings stepped in for an injured Zach Mettenberger and saved LSU from an embarrassing defeat to an 0-7 (in SEC play coming into the game) Arkansas team.

In fairness those teams weren't automatic outs back then.

We thought the 2013 offense was special, even though it still managed to have multiple shitty les style games

Besides Ole Miss beating LSU in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2015 Ole Miss was bad in close LSU wins in 2006, 2010, and 2012.

Besides Arkansas beating LSU in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, and 2015 Arkansas was bad in close LSU wins in 2005, 2012, and 2013.

7 out of 11 Ole Miss games were either losses or close wins against bad teams under Les.

8 out of 11 Arkansas games were either losses or close wins against bad teams under Les.

ETA: Orgeron has four blowout or comfortable wins against both Ole Miss and Arkansas in his four years.

At least he didn’t ball out in the Iowa game so we weren’t excited a whole offseason for no reason

The 2012 Auburn game smh

Did you miss the part about 0-7? As close to an automatic out as there ever was.

Les Miles Era?? You have a short memory. OM and Arkansas have played LSU close for the majority of the program’s existence.

And the SEC was 3x better top to bottom than it’s been lately.

LOL, this quote is something! If you went back and re-watched that game you would see that LSU was up 24-3 in the 4th and gave up 2 meaningless TD’s. Coach O has played both teams as Interim/Head Coach 6 times, here are the scores of those 6 games:
2019 - 58-37 and 56-20
2018 - 45-16 and 24-17
2017 - 40-24 and 33-10
2016 (as interim) - 38-21 and 38-10.
So in the 6 times we have played both teams, LSU is 6-0 and won by an average of 22 points! I don’t know how that doesn’t describe a blowout or comfortable win! Again, last year we let them back in the game after it was almost over. Other than that, it has been a blowout!

I was there. It was my sons first game. I’ll never forget him taking it from the one to the end zone.
