Has anyone ever put money on Bama… not because you think they’re going to win but moreso to blunt the letdown if we lose.

Like, shite we lost by a fieldgoal but atleast Bama covered my 2.5 spread? Yay money?

I do this on every LSU game that I think LSU might lose

That’s….not good

Does this mean 58% are on Bama -3? Or 58% are on Bama ML? Or a mix of the 2? Because 58% of money on a -170 favorite seems low. I'd say if anything, the line movement in LSU's favor is "good" for LSU.

Yes, back in the 90s.

You have to pick Bama straight up though, you don't want Bama to win but not cover. That's the worst case scenario.

It’s the lowest point spread ever vs LSU

That’s not true, it’s the lowest spread at home vs anyone since 2007. The BCSCG line was basically a pick and there were pre-Saban times when LSU was favored over Bama

Probably not as retarded as the O/U on the 2011 game.

I heard the opposite on the show. More tickets are on Bama, but more money is on LSU.

You are correct. The guy they had on said 52% of the tickets were for Bama to cover but 58% of the money was on LSU to cover.

Then Ott explained that meant more of the novice smaller bettors were putting their money on Bama and more of the professional big money bettors were putting their money on LSU.

Has Bama’s defense faced a really good offense? Texas has a decent unit and got in the 30’s

It was a bit confusing hearing it on the radio. The only consistent play from either team is 100 % LSU’s offense. And it’s consistently great.

I seem to recall it being close to even money, maybe -1 bama. Remember Tua was hurt.

ETA: nvm you are right it was around 6-7. Hard to believe they were favored by so much.
