Neither is he. Dude's flip flopped all over the place.

It seems you base your entire opinion off of Bo's quote that was later clarified/retracted by Herb, making Bo's quote irrelevant.
He has.

If you have any facts to add, please feel free to elaborate.
He doesn't.

I have no inside info and am not backing VC in any way, but it's not far-fetched, at all, that someone could make an accurate statement, then retract it, out of legal concerns. Or in the case of a public company, SEC concerns.

TM will NOT EVER CONSIDER Bama...he is a Tiger at heart who bleeds purple and gold!!
He would never play ball again before he were to go to Bama....dare I say "book it"

But what kind of legal trouble could this cause?

So do you still believe that he will sit out a year and potentially return to the team in 2013?
It seems every media report today is saying that TM is done at LSU, 100%. (Kleinpeter, Schad, etc)

This thread reminds me of the Miles/JL thread. Everybody had a reliable source or knew exactly what was going on except we had 25 different versions some being the exact opposite of others. Just as the RR/Benton saga. We heard all these people in the know that had all different stories and when I learned the "real" story from his brother it was no where near any of the stories by the experts, alleged staff, or people in the know. Bottom line: I don't think anyone here has even half the truth of what is actually going on. We never found out the exact truth of why Lee didn't play and we may never have all the facts in the end here either....

I'm nearly certain the answer is no (I don't feel like verifying by looking it up). You can go down and play, but not up. You would see this all the time if you could.

no, he would have to sit out 2013 as a transfer

Give me cliff notes, Fore.

Academic year in residence: Research shows that student-athletes who remain at one college or university throughout their academic careers graduate at higher rates than those who transfer. To encourage an academic focus, the NCAA requires Division I student-athletes who transfer from a two-year school and do not meet transfer requirements or transfer from one four-year school to another four-year school to spend one academic year in residence before being eligible to play There are exceptions to the rule:
- If the student-athlete has never transferred before from a four-year school and meets academic requirements, that student-athlete might be able to use the one-time transfer exception (except in baseball, basketball, men’s ice hockey or football).
- If the first school dropped the sport of the affected student-athlete
- If the student-athlete never has been recruited, received an athletics scholarship or practiced beyond a 14-consecutive day period at any school or participated in competition before transferring
- If the student-athlete returns to the first school without participating at the second school
- If the student-athlete did not practice or play in his or her sport for two years

That can't be right. Think about what Mett did. He was at Georgia, got kicked off, played 1 year at JUCO (2010), then came to LSU the following year (2011) and played. I think Cam Newton did the same. Clearly one can go down and come back up without sitting out a year. You just can't transfer between 4-year schools without sitting out. I think TM7's situation is exactly the same as Mett's was, except that Mett had 3 years of eligibility left whereas TM7 only has 2 years left now, and would only have 1 left in 2013.
