I’m not saying Mickey Joseph is a better coach but his resume is a hell of a lot better. At the end of the day Joseph produced 2 of the top 5 receivers in the nfl.
I’m guessing Kelly sees something he likes or aligns with. Hopefully he can recruit and develop some elite receivers.

LSU was putting receivers in the pros when the passing game was much worse. Van Pran is one player and he was never coming to lsu. Warren Eason might as well be in Canada.

Sorry LSU was able to replace him with the WR coach from the national championship team who is going recruit his arse off

I like Mickey and he is a great recruiter but he’s also the guy who needed Jerry Sullivan to teach him how to coach the position in his first year and was essentially replaced by Joe Brady in his second year.
He ain’t that good of a coach.

That’s great and all but just because somebody was on a championship staff doesn’t make them an elite positions coach. It’s clear you never watched Georgia because their passing game was by far the weakest part of their team. Maybe that was Kirby’s fault. But Georgia won a championship because of their defense not their passing game.

BK was never going to keep Joseph or Raymond. Deservingly or not they were grouped into the culture problem that needed erasing. This gets left out of all the pissing and moaning about our new staff vs old and the related costs. Just enjoy the fact that you have a 50/50 shot of saying I told you so. No crying and bashing the coaching hires will change what’s done.

Joseph is a great recruiter but a horrible coach. Mickey joseph got too big for his britches.
He got lucky that chase and jefferson were here when he was here. Those kids were going to be great without him.
That one year with joe brady helped them tremendously.

His resume is better without any context. In reality he was basically just a New Orleans Recruiter and not much more. We had to hire an additional WR coach every year he was on the staff. The receivers all made a significant jump when Brady was hired and Brady’s training methods were always being mentioned.

For one I think Adam Henry is better just naming people we have had. His recruiting and coaching was prob the best I’ve seen maybe besides Brady in the last 20 years or so

Dude is a great recruiter. Him being a great WR coach is murky. There's evidence that supports this then you have Georgia fans who think he's not. The problem with Georgia is Kirby Smart and his shite handling of offense. Hard to really hold that against him. Past trajectory says he's a good coach.

Nah, Georgia fans aren't high on him. However, in the past it's actually the opposite. He was pretty instrumental in not only getting some great WR talent but also developing it. I'm willing to bet he's a good coach maybe as good as his known recruiting otherwise BK wouldn't replace Joseph so easily. Joseph went to a dead end job and will likely get canned when Frost is booted out the door after this season.
