I'm very happy with this. Tough bar rotation, but we battle back strong and absolutely crush it on vault. Plus we won the unofficial SEC championship by beating Bama, Florida and UGA. Great finish to build on for next year.

Great effort. They competed like Tigers! Disappointed we didn't win it all but we improved and they made us proud.

Also,
HUGE Cannamela appreciation.
She is a very talented gymnast, and will do some amazing things the rest of her career. She will eventually be really good on beam, she had her inconsistencies. To go from falling yesterday to having the meet of her life tonight. Scoring a 9.8500 which btw at this level of judging is incredible. Then she hits a 9.900 vault.
I hope Finnegan doesn't beat herself up, she is not the reason we lost. If she hit it, OU would still have won it. OU was given very generous scores. It was really funny how the Alabama coach rolled her eyes after seeing a floor score come up. I definitely think everyone else got screwed with their scores.
Thank you senior for two super six appearances. Two of the best finishes in the program history.
We have an even brighter future next year. Lexie Priessman will be healthy again and provide an even stronger scores everywhere.
An amazing freshman class is coming in.
Ruby Harrold will boost our bar scores, she has olympian level bar skills and is known as one of the best in the world with her bar work.
Kenndi Edney is an instant impact. She will be one of the best vaulters to ever come through LSU when she leaves here, she will be a favorite around here. Her bar work is incredible as well and will likely be our next AA.

Will Mary Lou's daughter be good on anything else than floor? Seems like vault would be strong with her power.

I was curious about Kelley on vault as well. I think she could compete for a spot in the beam lineup, but I thought she could be great on vault. Her ankle may have held her back this year, but I'm not sure.
Ruby could be the difference maker that we need next year. I also really hope to see Julianna on bars next year. I love her form and technique. I was honestly surprised that we didn't see her yesterday and today instead of Gnat.

Last night I was looking back at the 2011 gymnastics schedule and we scored a 192.95 at one meet. Even though we haven't gotten to the mountaintop it's in sight.

Julianna is known for her bar works competing at the JO level. She had a 9.875 this year. She easily could/should of been competing in bars the last couple of meets. Her form and technique is advanced.
Mckenna Kelley is solid at vault but she has showed that she can be very good on beam before. I think she would have seen a lot of time there if it weren't for her ankle injury.
Ruby will be a difference maker. Her bar scores should avg around a 9.900 every time. She even competes big vaults, with difficult tumbling skills on floor. She needs to polish up beam but she is advanced in many areas.
Kennedi Edney will replace Savona. She will give us another vault with 10.00 start value.
