Edney should be an immediate impact everywhere, not sure if she is great on beam though. Beam will be tough to break into next year because we don't lose a single routine on beam. The good news is that we do have that hole in the middle of the lineup (not tonight, though) so those new gymnasts can only help solidify that lineup.

Kelly can definitely contribute on beam. Her ankle is the main reason she wasn't competing beam this year. I saw video of her practicing toward the end of the season but there is no way they would put her in the beam lineup so late with no experience. She is a nervy competitor and it took her well over half the season to began consistently hitting floor.

Bars we only have to replace Savona. Easily done with Edney but also Cannamela. I would love to know why she wasn't in the lineup this week. Maybe consistency issues? Her form and technique is so solid and she has a dismount she can rock. I hope Zamardi is no longer anchoring next year. I don't know if she ever put up the high score for us on bars. Finnegan should be anchoring with Priessman and Hambrick in the 4 and 5 spots. I would also move Hambrick and Macadaeg to the end of the beam lineup. Those two were our biggest scores all post season. I know DD wants a strong start to set the girls up but with a more solid #3 we can put them at the end and they may score better.

Floor is the one rotation we lose 2 gymnasts but Edney will impact and Finnegan has a nice floor routine. Harrold probably has what she needs to make the lineup.

Oh, and I am going to St. Louis next year. I have been saying I was going for years now but I have to do it and the timing works out. Can't be that expensive to fly to St. Louis and stay there.

I coud not agree with you more on any of this. I have questioned this season about some of the decisions in placing of the lineups. No doubt Myia would score higher deeper in the bars, beam, and even the floor lineup at times. Erin is so beautiful on beam, but got hit tonight for being first up. Also, can we give Shea a dismount she can stick? She didn't stick her dismount once this year. I believe her highest score all year on bars was a 9.9, and I think she scored that one time. She needs a dismount she can stick or move her out of the anchor position.

I could not be prouder of this program from top to bottom...I was so excited after the meet I could barely sleep lol... We were the highest placing team from the SEC and anyone who grumbles about that is just a poor sport...we clearly deserved our placement from what I could see at the venue.

Though we will miss what Wyrick, Savona and Gauthier brought to the team, as many have already stated we have an outstanding group coming in.

Congratulations to all involved and

This was me as well, I was so amped up I went back to the hotel and watched the last 2 rotations again on my phone

The heart and fight with this team showed after coming back from a shaky bars rotation to go 98.9875 over the last two rotations was absolutely huge
