The national championships are fun, took my daughter (whose a gymnast) the last time we made it.

Damn. Hope it holds up.
I saw a tweet the other day that said something like 66% of event titles came from the evening session in the last few years.

I imagine there is probably a bias towards the more recent performers.

I’ll be surprised if her score holds with evening session scoring plus the Oklahoma boost. But she will be First Team All American no matter what.

Got some lucky breaks along the way including today
In the end, it was Florida who benefited from the Cal falls, though I guess you could say Florida having to count a 9.6125 was also a lucky break for LSU.

By the way, the last time (and only) that an LSU gymnast won the AA was Susan Jackson and she was in the day session. Her score was not some huge score but everyone else made tiny mistakes (like Leanne on beam). Sometimes it just falls into place.

Great job by Jay and the entire team. They really outdid themselves this year. Complete polar opposite of last season

I was coming to post something similar. I don’t know much about gymnastics, but I follow what is said in these threads and watch the occasional meet on tv. This season looked bleak early in with some low team scores and the injuries looked to be tough to overcome.
But give credit to Coach Jay for keeping this team moving along and earning their spot in the Final Four / Four on the Floor, or whatever it’s called. That’s a great accomplishment for the team this year.

So proud of this group of girls. Someone posted on the SEC rant saying if you lose your top dog the season is over. Told him we lost Kiya in the beginning and still advanced. Team has some fighters.

3 I think. Might be 2, don't know if it was listed as Central or Eastern.
