I am have been in Texas since Thursday and with family for a funeral after a family member passed away. I have not been in any position to start a meet thread. So I'm sorry if I didn't get the meet thread in.

No I have not given up on anyone Tiger Ree.....

Lexie is being held out for precaution right now. LSU is starting to get kids healthy this week. Kids are getting back into normal training regimens.

LSU took down #4 Utah this past Friday at the quad meet.

Freshman Bailey Ferrer scored a career high 9.90 on the bars. Sami Durante is back fully in the swing of things and put a career high of 9.90 on beam.

LSU should move up in the ranking in the coming weeks after one of their RQS scores is dropped.

With that said, it was a travesty McKenna and Kennedi didn’t get 10s on floor. The judges this year will not give one out for anything. Had they been at UCLA or OU the score would have been over 198 with 3 10s.

Sarah Finnegan should have had a 10 on floor but one judge gave a 9.00 while the other gave a 10.

These judges are ridiculous.

Didn't read your post. Sorry for your loss.

Condolences for your loss.

This is a message board. Just because you typically post something does not mean you have to. This is a hobby. You are not getting paid to be here (and even if you were family comes first). Screw anyone who called you out.

He should feel like a complete fool right now. He probably doesn't, because he is too stupid to comprehend how dumb he's being. But to each his own I suppose.

Thanks for the post 357. It was a good meet with a great crowd considering it’s opening weekend for Baseball! The last three floor routines were fantastic. A step in the right direction.

I thought Ruby was exceptional today though her scores won’t reflect that.

Thank you 357. As others have expressed, you do not owe anyone an apology, or an explanation for that matter. Anyone with a lick of sense is very appreciative of your willingness to share the wealth of information you have and to do meet updates whenever you can.

Today I thought there was new (or renewed) energy with the team. They just looked positive and relaxed, and the scores (for the most part) reflected that. I was particularly happy for Sarah Edwards and McKenna on vault, Bailey on bars, Sami on beam, and Christina on floor. Of course Kennedi, Sarah, and McKenna deserved higher than 9.95's for their flawless floor routines, but their faces after their routines were pure joy! What a way to close out the meet!

The only disappointments for me were Sarah continuing to be underscored, and although it didn't make a difference in our overall score, what was the deal with Kennedi getting a 9.65 on beam for a balance check. It was a big one, I guess, but still, 9.65?? Everything else in her routine looked pretty good to me!

I didn't mention Ruby, but I thought she had a great meet overall. And she looked like she was having a blast!

Look out, The Tiger Train is back on the track. They are getting healthy again and getting comfortable with their roles.

Maybe this year they will peak at just the right time.

Thank you everyone for the condolences. They did get to live a very long healthy life. So I am at peace knowing they had a long fulfilling life.

She had a break on her leap series. So her start value started at like a 9.8. There are certain requirements on beam needed to get a full 10.0 start value. The disconnect on the leap series Brought her score down.

Prayers 357 as losing a family member is tough.

Glad to see the ladies getting back in championship form. This type of performance brings perspective for future excellence.

LSU has not performed "great this year" but the scores have been disappointing given what other teams are looking like and the score they have been getting. This year seems really bad compared to other years. I understand its subjective and all but there are some major discrepancies and a lot of over inflation. I think the Florida vs OU meet a couple weeks ago is all the evidence you need.

Finnegan in particular has been shafted her entire career at LSU. I would not trade her gymnastics with anyone in the country. Last year she couldn't get 10's the entire year essentially while OU and UCLA got them like candy every week. I am watching Maggie Nichols land everything with her feet like 2-3 feet apart and continuously never gets deducted like she should for it. Kentucky last weekend was absurd with the scoring, especially with Mollie Korth going out of bounds and miraculously gets a 9.9.

It is what it is, we can't really control or do anything about it. They will need to continue to pound big scores out as we hit the home stretch of the year. Based on projections, LSU should finish #4 by the time we hit SEC Championships. All that matters essentially is we are hitting high 197's to end the year. Wins, losses, rankings past that won't mean anything. UCLA and Florida have had many years looking rough most the year but peak at the correct time, and come back to win a national title.

Its all about peaking at the correct time.

I think there will be a big difference in the coming weeks. LSU has been banged up with injuries this year that they were still recovering from last year. Other kids had normal illnesses as well such as the flu, and other small bugs.

Look at the list:

Ferrer has had back problems and had the flu
Kirby has been out all season (she was suppose to be a starter on bars and floor)
Edwards tweaked her knee early in the year
Campbell has fought some ankle problems that kept her out of training
Durante had a concussion
Edney has had hamstring problems at times and has had to reduce her training
Cannamela has not been the same this year with her back problems
LSU has had to go slow with McKenna coming back and she tweaked her ankle
Priessman is fighting Elbow and shoulder problems

I don't know the first thing about gymnastics, but I do have a question. How big is a 2+ overall point win? It seems like the scores I've noticed in the past were much closer than that. How would this compare in a football or baseball type score?
