357....what do you mean it gives them even more bonus in their routines? The judges actually award them bonus points (so to speak) or score those moves higher? It should be the exact opposite! If that's the case, then we should absolutely do it.

Ok for floor, you have basic requirements that are required in all floor routines every athlete has to meet. After that, you have to earn bonus points to get to a 10.0 start value. You can earn that through difficult tumbling passes (double layouts, double Arabian, double full) or through connecting skills. Finnegan's first pass for example connects multiple twisting elements together so she earns bonus points. UCLA usually adds a stag jump to the end of their salto passes
You cannot start higher than a 10 though no matter how much difficulty you have. LSU's entire floor routine starts from a 10.
UCLA does not start above a 10, they are on the same field as us. The difference is they tend to blend a lot of landings with different leaps and jumps out of the tumbling passes. Plus they do wear powdered blue Leo's so I'm sure that is bonus lol

Only 6 teams have won a national championship in the last 30 years, if you are one of team, (ucla ou cough cough), you get favorable scoring.

Its true the blue bloods seem to get the benefit of the doubt from the judges, but its important to also remember the new bloods Florida and Oklahoma broke through and won all the championships from 2013 through 2017, even co-champs one year. Oklahoma is now a nouveau blue blood joining old blood UCLA tonight.

Hey can you start the official finals thread? If we all start requesting a sticky 9 hours before the event, we may actually get it.

What are the times of interest today?

Starts at 6, LSU starts on vault.

What are the other team rotations?
This could be a power finish for LSU with Priessman, Edney, Finnegan and Kelley on floor if they ae scored as liberally as the Bounce House Girls in powder blue will be.

id prefer for us to start on vault. IMO its our weakest event, but has good potential obviously.
So odds are we start out a little behind and make a comeback to win this thing.

Happens ever year and they have not quite made a big enough comeback. Hoping for consistency with 49.3 or better and one big monster score out of bars or floor.

I was wondering about that. Doing some kind of leap from your landing can hide the fact that you were unable to stick the landing. Seems judges should be able to recognize that no?
