at 2011 being our 4th best team on that list

the overall advantage of talent on D doesn't overcome the overall deficiencies on O

your best argument is 2005 but that team lost 1 regular season game with Katrina happening

and i made the argument about 2006 and 2007 during 2011 when the 2011 hype machine was off the charts

just like this year i tried to tell people that 2011 was flawed and we couldn't consistently rely on "big plays" to fuel us with that shitty of a passing game. and i was right (just like this year)

We get it. You're fine with finishing top 15. Some of us would like to see a team who recruits in the top 1% not lose to Arkansas. It's as simple as that. I recognize his 10 year stretch, love the man, and wish things were different. I have nothing but respect for what he's done at LSU. But he's not the guy for the job anymore.

And it was dumb then, and it's dumb now. Not gonna waste my time arguing this one.

I agree with everything in the OP, though.

Personally I would be psyched if LSU made the move on Miles after this season.

But I don't see a shred of evidence that anyone who matters in making that decision is even considering it right now.

Because it's now unanimous on tRant doesn't mean shite.

Seems like a pipe dream.

His 2004 season was.

he was a RS frosh

Saban had not been able to build the program to the point where we could unexpectedly loser our QB a year earlier than expected

miles had 6 years at LSU (with it being stocked by Saban) and everybody gave him 2-3 years of excuses after 2011 b/c we lost guys unexpectedly

JRUSS wasn't a great qb until is 2006 season

he was much better than anything we've had 2008-onward except for 1.5 years of mett, especially given the relevant nature of CFB offenses in respective periods (remember Meyer's first year in the SEC was 2005. it was truly still the end of dinosaur football in the SEC)

When did I say it was ok? I've said the staff has lost me after losing to arkansas. No excuse for being beaten at your own game by a fat less talented team. That doesn't change the fact that lsu fans are an ignorant and entitled bunch of bitches because they hate a coach that gave them the best decade ever in lsu football. Lsu fans act like winning 10 games every year is something we should do in our sleep when 122 programs out of 126 can't win 9 games a year. If you aren't happy with the most successful 10 year stretch in your programs history, you're an entitled bitch. Bottomline. We're you happy with Saban losing to UAB? Lsu fans on here act like losing to bama in the national title game was worse than losing to UAB. That's ignorance at its finest.

Its a myth that it was consistently good all year.

our conservationism on offense against Auburn with some player failures @UF led to early bumps for sure

but i'm talking roster. 2006 >

Most people are afraid of losing Miles because we might hire a dud coach in his place, well news flash, a dud coach is what we currently have. I have to believe that there are many coaches out there that can recruit as well as he can given all the Louisiana talent.

would you trade a lower overall winning % for more conference and national titles?

*ETA: not a trick. i would 100%. no hesitation and with 100% of my mind

Is thre anything you give miles credit for? You are a caricature at this point

It's been 11 years since saban left. You need new material.

We had to pull one out of our asses to beat a terrible Ole Miss team at home.

If you want to argue that those 2005-2007 teams with Saban would have been better, I'm maybe cool with that.

I would like more titles and conference titles but I'd hate to be on the ride auburn has been on. The boom or bust sounds awful for the last 6 years.

I haven't seen anyone that hates Miles. Most I've read on here and who I've spoken to in person are like us. They like him as a man and appreciate what he's done, but agree that his deficiencies are pretty blatant, year over year. It sucks. But don't group all hear posters together as hating Miles because it's far from the truth.

You clearly need need to educate yourself on JRuss' 2004 season.
2004 JRuss. 500 completion 9tds.4ints

His 2005 season is worse than JJ'S 2009 season too.

JJ in 2009 had a better completion % , more tds and a better qb rating than JRUSS in 2005.
These are facts

Well ill choose to believe you aren't as irrational and a lot more intelligent when it comes to this topic. To not give any credit to the head man for the last 11 years just isn't rational and hard to take you serious.

see it doesn't bother me

a 3-loss season is the same as a 6-loss season, assuming you keep recruiting up (which pretty much happens b/c W/L isn't that directly linked to recruiting)

the problem with the "pretty good but not really good" seasons, esp with a guy like les, is they reinforce his belief system

"if the players could just run my perfect system a little better, we're there!"

when you have a shitshow of a season you are forced to re-evaluate things and analyze your flaws
