Clemson is a definite loss. BK will shoot himself in the foot. I hate saying that but I don’t see us beating a legitimate team in game 1 as long as he’s coach.

Not too worried about Bama. DeBoer is a better fit out west. I knew he would have a rough time in the SEC when he started telling Jalen Milroe to celebrate more in practice. He may tone that down a little but I doubt it would be significant, it’s just his personality. Saban knew the balance between being a hardass and lifting his players up. DeBoer is a soft bitch.

We split A&M and Ole Miss.

10-2 gets LSU into the CFP, but that would be HUGE task if they lose the opening game. Last year only one team, Texas, lost fewer than 2 SEC games.

A scenario where LSU splits road games @ Alabama and Ole Miss is wholly reasonable.

One game no one is really talking about is the game @ Oklahoma to end the season. In 2022 LSU entered the final game of the season @ 4-7 A&M ranked #5 in the CFP...they lose. Last year LSU is at least somewhat still in the hunt going into the final road game of the season @ 4-5 Florida...they lose. Ole Miss does the same thing @ Florida. Alabama is in the CFP hunt and plays 5-5 OU in Bama's final road game...they get blown out.

Going on the road in the SEC is almost always tough. Doing so in the final game of the season is even tougher.

I didn't think LSU last year was a CFP team before the season, but I though the schedule was favorable enough to give them a shot at 10-2. This year I think LSU is a CFP team, but the unfavorable schedule may be the reason they don't get there.

It goes without saying, the Clemson game is massive. If LSU wins I think the 2 loss margin for error in SEC play is enough to get LSU to the CFP. If LSU loses, I don't know if that 1 loss margin for error in SEC play will be enough.

I’m immediately more confident about 2 of those games

Right now, I have LSU 10-2 for the regular season. I don't pick individual games with much confidence right now because who knows what the injury situation will be at the time the games are played. Having said that with everything staying the same on game day as now, LSU beats Florida, beats OU, beats South Carolina, and beats A&M....some of the games that some of the posters here have as a loss here or there.

We are an underdog in the Clemson game right now, and expect we still will be at kickoff.

A lot can change between now and these games, but we are also underdogs @OleMiss and @Alabama right now on FanDuel.

Lose to aggy at home. BK will lose the fans. Until he beats DeBoer, well it is what it is. What DeBoer did with Milroe to LSU was embarrassing.

Also everyone is automatically putting a W next to the OU game in Norman at night.

They are the hot team right now. Many have them as a playoff team and Mateer to be a legit Heisman candidate. That wont be a layup
