Classy.

Come back when you grow up and maybe I'll have a civilized discussion with you.

It took 12 games to realize we are a 1 dimension team, that jet sweep should have been utilized in the beginning, we spend millions on coaching to figure this out sooner but oh well.
I saw a little bit more than just running the jet sweep. They combined it with the read option to use one to set the other up (they just abandoned the DE setting the edge). And it played a lesser part in the passing game. This had been creeping in with Quinn in motion in the past, it's just those were not executed very well.

One thing that I saw more of, and LSU should be very good at this considering they have (or supposed to have) good blocking WR's, is using picks/rubs more often. This had to happen, the combination of lack of QB-WR chemistry, poor routes, and poor QB decision making were killing us. That helped. And since no one fears our passing game, the DB's are up closer on the line (not necessarily jamming, just not off) it helps the WR get "tangled up" when he wants to. The time was right.

I think I know what you are saying but we won some blow outs including Kentucky. We did put teams away. We heard this before, then 2011 happened.

There are a number of games under les miles that have come down to the wire in conference play. They struggle putting people away because they get conservative and haven't had a QB that can make those game winning drives that other teams have had against us.

I don't know what this has to do with anything, but check my poli board record and you will see that I'm no fan of his.

I just prefer to keep a positive attitude about life. Any "legitimate concerns" I might have about LSU's future teams are noting that I can do anything about and are in the hands of people way more qualified than I am to recognize and correct. I won't let possible, maybe, could be, might be, should happen disasters keep me from enjoying the fact that LSU won.

If you must wallow in misery rather than celebrating joy, then you have my deepest sympathy.

We just need to be more effective in the red zone, getting 6 where we've been getting 3.

The biggest hurdle to becoming more effective in the redzone is developing a legit passing game.

The field shrinks and the safeties creep up even more in the redzone, making it even more difficult to run; especially when we are in I-formation, 1 WR sets.

Cool, just ignore my whole post because of the joke at the end. God, you're a pussy. I hope no one associates me with you because I'm typically upbeat and positive on here.

I Rewatch ed the game and realize that penalties hurt us more than anything else in that one. We'd be driving and get inside of the 30 or 20, and just start marching backwards.

Same thing hurt us against Bama. Get down inside the ten from a turnover I believe, then after we got the 15 yard penalty, we were screwed.

But yes, with even a decent passing game, we are 11-1 this year. i look forward to the position growing next year.

So one that voices a concern(s) is completely incapable of enjoying a win? You're really simple-minded if you think this is the case.

There are different ways of "putting a team away". The one LSU likes is that long 8-11 run drive that eats up 9min on the clock to kick a FG to make it a 10pt lead. I don't care what the point differential is, if the other team is faced with kicking an onsides, a hail mary from the other side of the 50, or hook & ladder, you put the game away. I, personally, love these.

Then there's the beat them by 17 put away. I also like those. For the record, those really happen (usually) in the late 3rd qtr to early 4th quarter. You're not going to score twice in 1 possession.

So if LSU uses those long drives or prefers them, then the chances of having a point differential of greater than 14 points are unlikely in the 4th. The whole point is to shorten the game.

Obviously, LSU didn't do either Thursday or several times this season. Bama, OT. Ole Miss, shot to tie it and force OT, TAMU wasn't really that close (to tying it btw, not for the win) but they were on O with chance to tie, therefore not put away. I think in many cases we're 1 offensive series away many times. And that series does NOT have to be the last O possession.

I generally ignore profane and juvenile people so your wish is granted.

So every other game in 10 years have been decided in the last few minutes? NO. Not even this year. The guy said we will never be able to put teams away. We did that this year, against shitty opponents. But that statement never is false.

We ran the sweep 4 times out of the 57 rush attempts. People act like thats all we did. We have actually ran the sweep 8 times this season, it just worked against tamu.
