It wasn’t really the fans though. The fans liked O. It was Pat Haden and other effete administrators who prefer Brie and Chardonnay to crawfish and a can of beer. Now they pay the price for their pretentiousness.Because he would have killed it there.

They would also have to have been very patient. Even Ed O admits now, that he wasn’t ready. He attributes his career but especially his Miami stint as his key learning environment. Sure, everybody wants him now but he would have been fired three times at any big school.
When are you talking about? He was at Miami a decade before his first stint at USC.
This article was in regards to USC’s 2013 hiring decision.
