Thanks for the post. Great analysis. Looks like the entire offense and play caller could use a LOT more off-season.
Love to see one on the defense.

What did they work on all off season? Why is it the same as last year?

This whole argument/debate/conversation tells me the whole team was not properly prepared to play the first game of the season

Kelly's comments about week 2 regarding improved effort solidify my opinion on that.

No shite. Anyone with an iota of coaching experience knows this. The coaches on the rant think otherwise.

We were moving the ball at will on a great defense when the players executed.

You can't be serious. Denbrock and Kelly have a very bland offense.

Look at how Norvell called the game and then look at denbrock.

Good ocs have certain plays to score in the red zone. No imagination. 1 screen all game. Aaron Anderson got 8 yards on that screen. Ok, let's not throw another one all game.

Nothing is easy in denbrock's offense.
Fsu had a beautiful play where they faced like they were running a screen to the wide out and the blocking wr on the play faked the block and broke open for a wide open td.

Malik Nabors didn't seem like a fan.

Cliff notes: Denbrock’s play calling was NOT why they failed to score there.

It’s not a Daniels problem IMO, it’s a Denbrock problem. Our best 3 game stretch both as a team and for JD was Fla, OM and Bama last year. During that stretch Daniels averaged 18 rush attempts, mostly on designed runs, not scrambles, the RBs averaged 22 rush attempts and the run pass ratio was +50% run. Vs FSU we were +60% pass plays, the backs had 12 attempts and over 81% of the plays were called for JD. All of our losses with Daniels have had a similar breakdown. We have a winning formula for this QB and offense but Denbrock keeps fighting it.

Thank you. Denbrock makes nothing easy with his offense.

How many times did we actually see daniels on the edge or bootleg.

Give him some designed runs on the outside. That delayed qb sneak was great. He should've run that play one more time.

Should've run a couple more screens to Anderson. He got 8 on the first one.

He could do some much in the running game with daniels and midlsdirwction. He does absolutely nothing. It's maddening. Denbrock is what he is. He has his set 1 tight 3 wide model and he won't change.

Daniels can not read a defense

FSU wasn’t even masking what they were doing and he was still misreading them

This, this, this.

I haven’t watched the game again...can’t make myself do it. But I only recall one designed run with JD...our best running play of the night. We should have done more.

Both of our coordinators AND our head coach need to forfeit salary over that shite show performance.

This isn’t true and you know it. I bet a paycheck you loved that Bama game last year……now be a typical ranter and bring up Arky and A&M and UGA. 18 degrees with the flu hurt ankle for other two.

#70 having his shite pushed in all night.

Daniels missed some reads, but the scheme is what killed us especially those first down plays he showed with the o line going one way and the play flowing to the opposite direction.

Will Campbell blocking air a few times or getting sucked inside leaving his edge open.

2 killers though and only .5 were on Daniels.

Nabors slips on the comeback resulting in an int. Looking at it the pass probably should not have been thrown

Lacy drops that pass while behind the defender and nothing but real estate between him and the goal.

Scheme and play calling got us. We became predictable overall on offense

The game has evolved . To win at the highest level , you need a QB who is more than a game manager .

FSU sat on the comeback route in the second half.

strawman. no one ever said that. the point was even the best qb in the world will struggle if hit receivers don't catch the ball. If your first time watching Mahomes was last Thursday you would think he was avg at best.
