It's been over a year, you can remove Les' cock from your mouth now.

F that playbook. What was in The Binder? You know--the one that took the place of the winningest coach in LSU football history.

It's amazing he's having a better pro career than Michael Clayton.

Clayton’s rookie year was great

If LaRon Landry had not arrived on campus, Clayton would have started at safety that year and had a longer and more successful career at that position in the league.

I was actually impressed by the maturity in Winston's comments. He seems to have grown up a bit from the crab leg smuggler he was at FSU.

Always glad to hear Shep doing well though.

still to this day the great waste of talent in LSU history, Miles should have been fired for this alone.. I lived 3 doors down from him and have known him for years. Outstanding young man raised by a fantastic family. He loved LSU and still does. but I remember after his freshman year him telling me that he didnt think he would get a shot, he never did.. Wish we would have had Canada when he was here.. that kid could have been special... thats why i cant stand miles..

He pretty much was. Then LSU was suddenly devoid of talent all of a sudden according to some.

this just isn't true. Shepard simply wasn't good when he was here.

I'm not a fan of Miles, but I'll defend him in this case. Miles gave Shep enough touches, but Shep didn't do much with it. He had stone hands, no jukeability, ran bad routes, and went down at first contact.

He just wasn't good while he was here, and Miles gave him enough chances.

Glad to see he's improved and having a good career in the NFL though.

fail..he was fast and he was elusive, miles miserable failure to use his talents are on point.. Think if it were RS10 running the Jet sweeps? why not run a wildcat? how about throw a damn pass? Miles failed him, fact. and he is still loyal and passionate about LSU.. he always said behind closed doors that players loved Miles but hated his football acumen they loved him as a person but did not trust him as a x's and o's coach.

edit, and I dont want to hear one stupid word about arm strength, the kid had a decent enought arm to throw for over 3k yards in high school. Danny Weurful had the worst arm ever and still won the Heisman because of creative timing routes from a great offensive mind like spurriers.. Miles had the offensive mind of a tree stump and im glad he is gone.. I never liked him.. I still remember the day my buddy at Ok State said thanks for taking him, they were looking for ways to give it to Gundy..

Look, I was no fan of Miles and wanted him gone several years ago. And yes, the last few years of Miles' offenses were predictable, and unimaginative. A disgrace, with the talent we had.

But .... Miles gave Shep enough of a chance. I'm sorry you don't remember it, but he did. Shep just wasn't a good player here.

You can't revise LSU history based on how Shep is now. He's good now, but wasn't good here.

I think it's a little bit of both. Miles could have used Shepard more creatively but Shepard wasn't ever one of our top 2 WRs (at the time) and was still learning the position.

Miles had a great career at LSU and I will always remember his days in a favorable light. However, he didn't think outside of the box on how to utilize guys like Shep.

It seems like only yesterday that I was reading an article about Shepard losing his last high school game (playoffs) when he accounted for about 7 TDs. The opposing coach had high words of praise for him, both as an athlete and a person. Many great athletes do not make it to the NFL. It takes mental fortitude to rise above when things are difficult.
