I really paid attention to our OL play against Missouri. Those boys get brutal out there. I don't recall seeing our OL this physical in a while.

Since the FSU game they have been awesome...their biggest tests are ahead of them however. We shall see.

Great that they get public acknowledgement.

They have been the starting point for the success through the air and the run.

Mizzou has played a couple of teams with good backs and was a highly ranked run defense before Saturday. They have a solid DL. Bama and A&M will be bigger tests, but ignoring this is still asinine.

What’s hilarious to me is how much OL coaching is praised here and how half of this site wanted Davis run out of town last season. Semjase- where are you now?

The top-notch coaching and development are highlighted throughout this article. Davis, Denbrock and Kelly have done impressive work rebuilding this group from a terrible mess into a real strength.

What does this mean…?

LSU averaged an ABSURD 0.319 EPA/Rush

I said before the Mizzou game that they had not played a team with a pulse including KState because they had not played anyone.

unless we play Georgia, I doubt we get a better test than fsu. there's a reason our ol sucked against fsu.

Bama and TAMU both have more talented DL's than FSU...they will be as good a test we have remaining unless we win the West.

Very cool read. It gives some really good insight that most people (including myself) don’t catch watching live. This OL unit is very talented, and their QB/RB/WR have been making opposing defenses pay all season bc of it.

“The game is won or lost in the trenches” just might not be a long lost adage of the past just yet!

Are you just saying that because they’re in the SEC?

Florida State is excellent on the defensive line. Jared Verse and Braden Fiske are awesome and will be high draft picks into the NFL.

The two best OL's currently on the team, (Campbell and Dellinger) were Orgeron-Cregg recruits.

Actually O was gone for signing day, Campbell and Jones, along with the transfers, they were brought in with Kelly and Brad Davis.
Cregg was gone after the 2020 season.

Davis 2021-present.

Davis has developed the OL, his recruiting, player evaluation and player development is the main reason kept him on the staff.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the OL look this well, along with playing of three different offensive centers in the last game. We are finally getting some depth. Kelly has sent a number of OL into the Pro’s.

For Kelly’s time at ND he’s sent way more OL and TE’s into the NFL. The numbers in the 1st and 2nd rounds, we can only hope to see in the future.
The last LSU lineman to go in the first round, Alan Faneca, 1998. Pocic was the last to go in the 2nd, before him, go way back to Big Whit.

In 2018, Kelly had a OG and OT both go in the first round.
He’s had a total of 5 go in the first or second round.
He’s had 6 TE’s drafted into the NFL.
I would like to see this continue at LSU.

frick off with this ridiculous bullshite. Davis was the common denominator as the lone staff holdover. He and Kelly kept Campbell in the class and Dellinger from transferring out when Orgeron let the bottom fricking fall out.

And Dellinger wasn’t some break out star in his brief time as a player under Cregg. All of his positive development has come under Davis. You just don’t like how dead fricking wrong you were about Davis when calling for him to be fired every other week 1-2 years ago.
