Edward is not nearly as good as Dozar defensively at 1B. I don't think this is a good option. Like you said, Dozar just had a bad, really bad, night. He's solid defensively.

No doubt but the way he's hitting you gotta consider it against lefties.

No not at all. Thats a routine play for a first baseman. I played 1B for 12 years. Definitely a routine play.

The grounder he missed looked like a tough hop.

my guess is since crawford is a righty you will see the exact same lineup as last night except ross at C.

Am I the only one who thought the runner was outside the running lane?

I think Snikeris made his case to DH tonight.

It's a nice problem to have when you've got two guys (Snik and Edward) hitting well enough to DH.

that's what i was coming to post. But im not sure if affected Dozar's view.

in reality, his glove was turned the wrong way for such a low throw. You cant turn it sideways there, gotta turn it upwards with the webbing down towards the grass

Also everyone go watch the highlights on lsusports.net. On the tucker flyout you can hear one of their fans go "are you fricking kidding me? are you kidding me? what the hell was that?"

made me laugh.

I would put edward at first and jordy at dh.Im sure dozar is better defensively but the way alex hit the ball last night he has to be in the lineup.

Other than; charging in front of the second baseman constantly fricking up easy ground outs, having bad eyesight( misses fly balls and overruns them) dropping normal throws, being an ez out at the plate and can't bunt, he is great. Put Snikeris or Edward or someone who can field and hit, or coach him up, which is another sore spot because there is very little hitting and position coaching capability at LSU since Skip left. Pitching is in great hands but running, hitting, fielding and baserunning are left up to the players to figure out themselves! Ok ready aim fire!

Dozar looked like an easy out last night. I have been behind him playing all year but he had a horrible game last night - 3 errors and basically hitless...Snick is definitely trying to play his way into the lineup.

First bunt was not good, but he redeemed himself by dropping a bunt on the 3rd base line later in the game

going Ofer in one game does not make you an easy out. If he think Dozar is an easy out my guess is last night was the first game he's watched all year.

I've been a big negatiger in this dept especially at Javi, but you can't complain when LSU just had 11 hits last night and is on a 7 game winning streak.

Do you even watch this team play?
