Rivals must think so too. Look at this pic on their homepage

People really listen to Gordy Rush?!

As long as it works, I don't care but it's one helluva risk. If it backfires, Miles will again lose some of the fan base.
This is what causes a QB controversy. What if JJ gets most of the snaps and LSU somehow wins...is he the new starter?
That's not fair to Lee.
We should stick with what got us here.

and to think, that's the game that everyone pointed to during the offseason to say that jefferson was so much better than lee and had separated himself. wow.

Why? How does a running QB help against a stacked box?
If this is a serious question I will give you the obvious answer:
It allows an extra blocker.
I expect JJ to get more snaps only if we can't throw...but if they bring in an extra guy in the box I think with 2 weeks Lee will be prepared to check off and throw the ball.
I also expect LSU to have more passing plays, completions, and yards against Bama tomorrow.

Would you say this is somewhat typical of what we are getting this year?

It's not Miles' job to be fair. It's his job to win ballgames. If playing JJ more means LSU has a better chance to to that, then so be it. HOWEVER, "if" JJ gets the majority of the snaps this game(60/40, 70/30, what have you) and the offense (which has scored 39 ppg) completely stalls out, heaven help the wrath of LSU fans once Miles comes back to LA.

Gordy Rush expects to grow 5 more inches too...

Are those stats really all that different than what we're producing this season.
Low attempts
Low yards
High comp. %
No turnovers
That's really the idea behind our offense. It works and works well (and FWIW, it's the same idea behind Alabama's offense.) This idea that you need to sling the ball 40 times a game to win in college is asinine. Just look at the last ten BCS winners. Who had a better passing game than run game? Answer - no one.
That's what always pissed me off about the QB argument. It was taking the place of discussing the real problem.

There is no fair or unfair - the TEAM WINS - the players do whatever it takes for the TEAM TO WIN!
WTF does it matter who does what or how small or large the role is?

I think that's about the same production we're getting out of Lee.

Lee has thrown 13 TDs in 8 games. JJ's TD against Bama was one of 4 he threw in 12 games.
Lee's averaging 156 yards/game and 1.6 TDs/game. So, in JJ's best game of the season, he still threw for less yards and less TDs than Lee's been averaging.

Majority of Snaps
That's highly unlikely. Maybe more than he has been getting lately, but not the majority.

You should really try not to be as biased.
I showed a stat against one team. You translated that into Lee vs Jefferson on how he did last year. Against Bama if you want to use PAST stats I'll say I want JJ all day. 2 TD's-0 Ints vs 1 TD - 5 Int's for Lee.

Did this turn into a shite on JJ thread? Shocker!

Consider the point of the discussion to have gone over your head.

No. I simply mentioned how sad it was that those measly stats were used to justify that JJ had taken over Lee and was clearly the best QB on our team, according to some fans. Someone else then brought up the stats we are putting up this year.
So, I responded to them.
ETA: I'm sorry I ruined a thread about JJ getting more than 50% of the snaps against Bama. I will leave this thread and let y'all discuss something that will never happen.

It wasn't a serious question. Thanks for the answer though. Hopefully it'll help later in the thread when someone asks the same question and is serious.
