So New Orleans is projecting 8 inches over the next week but you think the city can't handle that?
Ordinarily I would have agreed, but with the recent flooding due to the broken pumps...

That was also 10 inches of rain in a day, not 8 inches over the course of a week.

I would say I'm confident in the Superdome but its tough to see it there with all the rain headed that way and the pump issues.
We'll know by noon Wednesday if the Superdome is going to happen.
you have never been involved with getting a football team across the country to play a game have you.

I remember when every thread even suggesting a relocation got 300 downvotes.
"Hurr, you know the hurricane is hitting a week before the game right???" Whoops.

There's at least fifty thousand Tigers within an hours drive of downtown Atlanta. Please let this happen

Didn't I see somewhere that they are working at somewhere around 90% with the pumps? If so that's a hell of a lot better than when the flood happened.

Does "Gordy" (cue George Carlin's "these fricking names rant") have any legit sources and info?
If anyone thinks Gordy doesn't have a clue, they're wrong. Dude is about as close to the program as anyone. He sits with Alleva at basketball games. He's very tight with the athletic department. He probably knows exactly what's going on, and is working as a pseudo spokesperson, floating things in the media, etc. If anything, he knows what's happening and is just giving them some cover while details get ironed out.

And the storm is in Memphis this weekend, not Nashville.
You understand that these storms are not a point, right? And that if the remnants of the storm are near Memphis then that means the potential for rainfall in Nashville is pretty great?
