I've never been a big fan of the no huddle hurry up offense of Oregon, A&M and such. However if done right i could be on board with this. Talented depth on defense is our strength and calling card, we have seen what a game with multiple plays does to us, imagine what it cold do to teams that don't have the quality depth like we do.

This is not a typical spring.

When was the last time LSU had a real OC?

When was the last time that Cam Cameron was the OC for LSU?

I can't wait to see what CC does with Jeryl Brazil.

That first season with crowton sure did suck too. Sure it went to shite the next couple of years, but come on.

And comparing this news with what happened to krags is laughable.

Dude I am buying in and it has nothing to do with these reports of what is going on in the practices although the way Cam is taking charge and implementing things his way is icing on the cake.

We have upgraded at WR. That alone gives us a big boost over last years team in the passing game.

Our QB play is going to be better simply because Mett played his worst last season. Even without improvement in him his game would just by the role of the dice be better... he rolled snake eyes last year. Couple that with I bet he does improve gives me even more belief that this years offense will be better.

we will not have an Oregon type of offense and we don't need one,I just want our receivers to run routes that get them open.....to me it seemed like our receivers were always covered...

The hurry up offense makes perfect logical sense when your talent exceeds their talent. I've never understood Les Miles's penchant for keeping things slow.

I'll give you an example of the necessary logic: suppose you were playing a worse racquetball player than yourself. Is it more advantageous to play first to five or first to 21 is the winner?

I know this is common knowledge, but still-

Miles used to run a more wide-open offense. The Perilloux/Lee-pick-6 disaster led to playing it close, and trusting our talent to pull out the wins; and it did most of the time (with JJ running a weak offense).

Mett has the tools and now the experience, and Cam has more of Miles confidence then the last couple guys did. I expect we'll open things up a good bit more.

I've bitten on this bait every Spring for the last 5 years, only to see an extremely conservative offense that refuses to air it out in the Fall. Thanks for sharing... but I'll believe it when I see it.
