IDK man. Google AI and other sites have conflicting information and it is confusing. All I know is as the sun sets, temps decrease and humidity increases you lose distance on a hit baseball.

All of this scientific data to say what is super obvious, the ball doesn’t go as far in the evening when it gets cooler and more humid

Ok, but that's not the whole story- if it was, wouldn't liquid water be in the upper atmosphere?
Seems volume needs to be considered too- and presumably the density of water vapor is similar to that of O2, N2.
But liquid water is much denser than O2, N2.
And yes, temperature, compressibility factor in too.
