Man I sure do miss this team. Not bashing at all does anyone know the exact offense Johnny Jones runs? John Brady implented a flex offense that requires constant movement and for all players to screen and cut. It's almost impossible to defend it creates a ton of mismatches and isolations in the post not to mention wide open lanes for slashers and 3s when the defense switches, double teams, and collapses down. Big Baby was beast in this offense. Could you imagine JOB3 constantly having 1 on 1in the post. Coleman, Martin slashing , Mickey having mid range jumpers and back door cuts and lobs like tyrus thomas+ plus Stringer and Hickey having tons of open 3s. We have the perfect lineup to run this . Anyways am I just living in the past or do you guys believe it would be perfect?

I don't know, but 2006 was a helluva run. It probably will not be this year, but we're not far away from doing it again.
The last second 3 from DMitch against A&M, then the Thursday game in Atlanta beating Duke was

John Brady went to high school practices around baton rouge and took notes on the offenses that were being run. For years LSU ran variations of high school flex/motion offenses. Never come here again implying that john brady was some kind of offensive mastermind.

We don't have good enough shooters to provide the necessary floor spacing to get JOB and Mickey those easy looks. Hickey can't seem to hit a set shot from deep, but put 2 defenders in his face, 30 feet from the basket, with 1 second left on the shotclock, and falling away, he'll hit it everytime. Martin and Coleman are too streaky and String is a liability on D due to his height.

While that team may have been one of Brady's better offensive groups, make no mistake, that team didn't get to the Final Four on its great offensive production

LSU for years and years and years was terrible at offense. You're talking about the same guy that was coach of a team that scored 13 1st half points at a road game, and 10 points at home in the 1st half. Brady had terrible offense. We average 15-20 points more now.

You can say "Brady played great defense vs now."...but don't compare offenses at all

Brady was just as clueless vs the zone and had darrel mitchell running the team most often. Ucla doubled him off every screen which took him out of that game. Brady was a great teacher of defense and rebounding when he gave a shite, his offensive principled usually left much to be desired.

But thats just like my opinion man.

It's not like this is a terrible thing.

Of course, we were never good offensively with Brady, but a coach can never learn too much.

That stretch of beating Duke then Texas tops both the 2003 and 2007 football championships for me.

College basketball is just messed up right now. Everyone trying to play for the NBA and the new rules on fouls is crazy.
