Do y’all understand what just happened?
A head coach that wasn’t good enough to be a head coach. A quarterback that wasn’t good enough for a scholarship then - wasn’t good enough to start. A running back that was too small and wasn’t relevant. A wide receiver that didn’t even have a composite ranking (Justin Jefferson) was a 2 star recruit for those of you that didn’t know. On a team that has had a stagnant offense for 10 years. A defense that wasn’t capable. In the matter of 7 months, learned a completely different and very precise and complicated offense, and perfected it. Burrow threw for 57.8% completion percentage, 2,849 yards and 16 TD’s last year. This year threw a 77.6% completion percentage, 5208, and 55 TD’s ( before national Championship). Broke multiple SEC records. Broke playoff records. Won a Heisman trophy. First team to have a 5,000 yard passer (Burrow) wasn’t good enough, 1,000 yard rushers (Clyde) wasn’t big enough. And not one, but two 1,000 yard receivers (Jefferson) 2 star and (Chase). Won 6 games against top 10 opponents. With a coach that was “illiterate” and “unintelligent”. And after all that, beat a 7th top ten team that was on a 29 game win streak. BY 17 POINTS FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I’ve been saying this since GAME 1.
There was NEVER confusion, useless/wasted motion, pre-snap penalties, etc., which often plagued our Tigers.
They were crisp, clean, perfect on offense since GAME 1.
AMAZING transformation.

I still do question the coach's intelligence and literacy though.

wasn’t he a 4 star?
pretty sure those are usually good enough for scholarships

It was more than a National Championship. Literally a perfect season, individual awards & all.

And I question yours considering the man’s results. What is wrong with you dude?!?!?!

If he's smart enough to produce seasons like this I COULD NOT CARE LESS what others think of his intelligence.
O deserves all the accolades a coach can receive.

I think Burrow was a 3 star on 247. Maybe the author meant he didn't initially receive a scholarship offer to Nebraska despite the fact that his two older brothers played there.

Far different from the time we had Canada out here not wanting to listen to O tell him clean up the offense. Every game we had a million false starts or illegal formations. O was completely right to challenge him to scale back to help the players out who were in a stance for 20 seconds waiting on motions.
He knows what he wants and how to build the best staff in football. Go get em CEO.

17 Points? Should have been another TD at the end but O had the mercy kneel downs.

A team that does all this and Fricking Herbstreit wants to criticize them for not celebrating in the exact way that he would approve of. L.O. Frickin L.

It wasn't a totally new offense. Watch the UCF game, there were a lot of the same plays and formations ran. The difference is Burrow had time to master it + a few new wrinkles in the off-season.

I noticed it early too. Seamless transition. Often times we’re running option routes and you never see the receiver break the wrong way or QB throw to the wrong spot. Amazing

Good points and even more poignant is the fact that, with our over- achievers, we beat a team led by a QB who was the number one QB in American coming out of high school in 2018, last years champion, heisman hopeful who had never lost on a team with a coach who has won the Nat Champ 2 times and been there 4 times along with the fact they're a perennial number one in the polls. Their running back while only a 3 star, received offers from 26 schools. Their starting WR's are both 5 star guys.
