Says that even though Burrow might win starting job McMillan still very much in the race and is right there with him, so.....

Basically still not a standout QB.

What is it...like day 2 or 3? How could anyone come up with anything about a position battle within the first 2 or 3 days of practice.

It’s almost like Culotta wants to build suspense so people keep paying attention to what he says.

sooo...the guy with 4 years in the program is ahead of the guy with 4 days. Based on the 15 mins or so that the media watches them warm up.

Joe will be fine.

The scrimmages/pre-season games will separate the quarterbacks.

He was trying to say how much McMillan had improved and is fighting for the job, but to me, if it's even a contest. We have problems.

I took more away from him saying that Chaisson looks like the Boogeyman out at practice and thinks he will make a run at the sack record. He also says that Curry looks like he can add some weight and that LSU better hope that CEH or Brosette don't get hurt. He even went as far as to say that the freshmen aren't ready and that he believes that the coaches would turn to Fournette before those two. That really got my attention because I thought it was gonna be CEH and Curry going 1 and 2.

It is day 3 or 4.

I mean...camp and practice actually are VALUABLE, no?

Once we've been through all the preseason scrimmages if McMillan has beaten out Burrow, I'll be shocked, as will 99.9% of us.

We are severely underwhelming at running back this year. You can try to reference back to the running back by committee of old, but the talent isn't the same. Curry isn't the caliber talent as a Freshman either to make up for it.

He was saying that they look a little light. Don't know how much weight they are going to add during camp. We'll see. He was at practice, not me. Just passing along what he said.

Cullota doesn’t seem like a guy who is reaching for viewers to me. He has always come across as a guy that attracts his viewers because he tells it how he sees it. Now, this can turn viewers away from you, but I don’t think he is reaching. Now, I would find it hard to see much of a difference between the quarterbacks right now. These are 4 high level division 1 quarterbacks throwing out routes with no defenders, pressure, 100,000 people watching, even pads I think. The best will separate themselves come scrimmage time. Really believe it is going to be burrow.

From the few videos I've seen from practice online (granted it's in no way an adequate sample size), JM looks really good. I still expect Burrow to be the guy, but it's nice to potentially have him ready to go if needed.

I didn’t hear Jordy, but I will take it as a positive that 1) JM can push Burrow to be even better and 2) if God forbid, Burrow sprains an ankle or something, we won’t be totally fricked if JM has to play a little bit this season.

They’ll do just fine if we can establish a passing game and they don’t have to run into a 10 man box.
