Coach o was known as one of the best recruiters in college football before he even came to lsu. I know it seems like a pretty bold statement,but I've been hearing that for a long time .you should look into that book about coach os recruiting prowess. It's called meat market

Bianco also stayed home in 2002. His Ole Miss teams didn’t make the NCAA post season in 15% of his years there (not counting 2020).
Good thing he’s made it to Omaha in 5% of his seasons to counteract that...

You have to understand the Rant mentality when it comes to coaching hires. It’s a simple formula to them, coachX has this many wins/titles + we deserve/our prestige = the right hire. They have no idea what goes into a hire or what people in the know are looking for.
