I'm not a fan of bianco, but I remember the hiring of a coach nobody on tRant liked, it turned out to be a decent hire. TV & DMAC are better candidates, imo, but, maybe they turned down the offer w/o tRant knowing. Not every coach wants to come to LSU & try to live up to the Skip Legacy.

No, it's really not. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

If you're talking about Ed O, he fell arse first into the perfect storm in Burrow and Brady. He will be gone within the next three years.

While I do think he’s underachieved, people act like Godwin and McDonnell are HOF’s. They have the same number of championships as Bianco. If you can get Tim Corbin then the other resumes are so similar you’re splitting hairs.

“and I believe he will win multiple CWS championships.”

And my seven year old daughter believes in unicorns. why? Just a hunch I’d suppose she’d say. And you…I’m listening

McDonnell likely is a HOF

Dude has either the first or second most wins in the country in the last 13 years and has the highest CWS appearance percentage of active coaches with over 5 years under their belt (or something like thaT).

Dude is ELITE.

One of My coaches was Rags Scheuerman and we did not win any championship but it wasn't because of the coach. It was because of the players.

Oh, same as CPM.

That's not true. Ole Miss has similar facilities to LSU. Ole Miss recruits nationally, just like LSU. Ole Miss sells out their ball park, just like LSU. They are both programs with a national brand name, and a lot of resources. Not much of a difference.

Is it the 5/13 CWS appearances (one of the highest rates in baseball), the consistency of his postseason appearances, the 5/8 wins in Supers, or the most total wins in the country during his tenure that makes you say "eh"?

Or could it be that he's doing that at a program that was lower than dogshit before he took over?

Because he's elite and an objective person would agree.

He gets top 10 players at Ole Miss.

He has top 5 fan support and facilities at Ole Miss.

It is not some massive jump in program ceiling from Ole Miss to LSU.

This keeps getting used as a knock against him. Shouldn’t he get credit for building that? Wasn’t nearly that when he took over

I can't argue whether or not Smoke continued to actually coach, but he has been employed as a coach in the past 15 years.

His firing from University of North Florida is what opened up AJ Labas' recruitment and got him out of his LOI there.

Yeah, he didn’t coach from 2006-2010, took over North Florida in 2011 and was removed after 2017. He had a couple of good teams there, but couldn’t win their Tourney in a one-bid league to make the NCAAs.

Bianco would probably excel at North Florida, maybe they need a coach.

LSU has waaay too many fairweather fans, especially when no coach has been announced.
Tony Vitello was everyone's Fan Favorite until he shite-kicked Paul Mainieri, now he's hated.

If he had no ties to LSU/McNeese would you still be as supportive? Chances are you wouldn't know much about him.
