It just makes me wonder why LSU has seemingly put Godwin on the back burner if Johnson is "their guy".
Godwin is on the back burner because there are still more candidates to interview. I don’t think it’s a quality assessment as much as it is a function of timing.

What makes his resume that much better than Godwin's? 2 CWS appearances at a real school? If you're not getting a Corbin or a Sully I don't see why you don't go with a guy like Godwin who has been around the block in the SEC.
I want Godwin and for him to bring a few guys with him. I like Godwin's staff, too. Good coaches and developers, fiery, and walking into a goldmine.

No name was given. He’s not in the CWS though

He is interviewing coaches.
Now he will wait and interview coaches in the cws
Thank you.
Somebody needed to say it.

I'd be happy with Godwin, he was #1 on my list from the start. I wouldn't be upset for one of the big fish though.

McDonnell?

Any one of the other names besides Bianco and I will be happy.

Could be him or heefner or pollard
Posted on 6/19/21 at 5:51 pm to josh336
Pardon my ignorance, I've never heard of Pollard. Who is he?

As an added bonus, that baw would be comfortable in any living room in SELA.

Quote: Yeah, if Corbin leaves it won't be strictly for money.
There has to be some compelling reason why he's ready to move on.
Y'all acting like he can't win just as many titles at Vandy.
We have seen time and time again that you can get to Omaha on the reg at many SEC schools that weren't considered baseball schools 20 years ago.
College baseball is not college football and doesn't have the same "barriers to entry" when it comes to building a top notch program.

I understand that the AD at Vandy is some woman that Corbin hates can't get along with. Like oil & water!!! I really believe Corbin not only has an interest but would strongly listen to Woddy when he comes a callin'.

I don't think either of these is in play. Heefner is right where he wants to be. Pollard doesn't stack up to the rest of the candidates.

Bianco

Cain leaving is a pretty good tell as to how likely he feels Bianco will be hired. Bianco would have kept him. Not sure how to read the fact that no news has come out about Dunn's intentions.

I am scheduled to interview Monday afternoon but I can assure all my fans at cracker.com I have no plans on stepping down at cracker inc regardless I have zero baseball coaching experience
