Thread about pistol Pete had me thinking, Do we own the GOATs of all 3 major sports?

Football - burrow and it ain’t even close

Basketball - Pistol

Baseball - McDonald, Todd Walker, bregman?

It's Todd Walker for baseball. No one can come close to what he did those 3 years. Eddie needed four to do what he did.

Todd Walker was before my time, bregman was around the time i actually started following LSU sports and not just watching

I was born during the baseball dynasty, how I wish I could’ve actually witnessed that

Todd was the best player when I first started watching as a kid. I'm bias, but even without my bias, he's the best. I'm just extra adamant about it.

Aaron Nola deserves to be in the conversation for baseball, but the real answer is Todd Walker.

No. But Pistol is, and you could make a case for Burrow. But a lot of guys had better complete college careers. Walker might not be the best LSU player.

Pistol and Burrow definitely in the conversation.

Have to look at college a few different ways in my opinion. Do you judge it on career, a single season or just sheer dominance/talent.

Shaq was insanely dominant, if you talk about pure talent/ability, I think you have to put him in the conversation for the position he played.

Brandon Larson should get an honorable mention for baseball.

Will Clark is a good choice although Palmeiro might have been just as good. i was thinking Pete Incaviglia. Still has records for HR and RBI i think. He hit 100 HRs in 213 college games

You love Pete, I love Pete. We all love Pete.

But even a biased eye has to realize he isn't the College GOAT.

One year?
Bo, Herschel, Ricky Williams, etc. The list ahead of Burrow for a whole college career is endless
