Agreed a 4th year college QB at 22 normally takes the training wheels off in year 5 at 23. Good god. Bless your heart. I won't even bother with you again after that ignorant post. Are you 14 years old?

So u didn’t see the throw to boutee at Arkansas when we needed it most.

Or the throw to namers at Auburn

Or the seam shot to kole taylor

Or the rope to boutee at Florida

Lmao now you are comparing him to a QB who had many long tds in college. One can throw, one cannot. One can see the field, one cannot. One is fast, so is the other. One

JD missed 3 wide open touchdowns - trust me I saw it live and in person- He can not read defenses- period end of story- he will not get drafted until he corrects that

we have a precedent to look back on for this. Joe Burrow arrived at LSU in 2018 as a 4th year college QB at 22. Lets compare Joe in 2018 to Jayden in 2022 shall we:

Burrow 2018:
219/379 (57.8%) 2894 Yards 16 TDs 5 INT
128 rushes 399 Yards 7 TDs

Daniels 2022:
238/347 (68.6%) 2566 Yards 15 TDs 2 INT
174 rushes 824 Yards 11 TDs

Still a fantastic athlete and smart QB that can win games for us. But his self-imposed limitations will always be a crutch as long as he is here.

This is mostly true. Subjectively, I believe he can be coached to overcome his self-imposed timidity. I think he CAN be coached into being better, but he also may not….yes he is not a true freshman, but he’s still a young athlete. Quarterbacks keep learning all the way into year two and three in the NFL. I don’t think it’s true that he “is what he is” at this point. He can get better, and I think he will.

Umm, he in fact hasn't slung many INT's....but he also hasn't slung many TD's either. JD has 4 more passing TD's than rushing.

JD played very well against Florida, Ole Miss, Bama, and also.....Tennessee. He also played like trash against Auburn, Arky, and TAMU.

Defending LSU isn't hard, teams have figured out how to play JD. This team has looked good offensively in about 1/3 of their games this year. We've looked horrible in the rest.

I know you didn't seriously think a HC was going to give you an honest opinion and breakdown on an opposing player before they play. UGA will use their front 4 to contain JD until they get to him, while covering all our short routes. Their safeties will keep everything in front of them but they will condense the field.

Burrows first 13 starts vs JDs 30-42nd starts.

Burrow started 28 total games in college. JD has already started 12 more than burrow. It’s not a real comparison.

Different coaches different system, different way of thinking, different receivers, different timing, different everything. Still a good comparable stat.

26 touchdowns vs 23 touchdowns. Those are the stats that reall matter. frick all the yardage. You score points and touchdowns you are successful

That is who JD is, and it will always limit his potential going forward. He lacks the mindset required to get himself to the next level as a QB. He’s too scared of throwing an INT.

People who speak in absolutes about 20-something year olds are the reason our fan base sucks. Everyone here is so old and set in their ways that they can't fathom someone can actually grow, learn and get better.

Fair enough as far as his projection in the pros. However, at the college level I struggle to see how he can get the confidence needed to take real shots, if he hasn't found it yet.

I'd love to be wrong, but it seems like the game still has not totally slowed down for him, at least in the pass coverage department.

Would love nothing more than for him to make a progression like Burrow did between 18 and 19, but Daniels' doesn't seem to be showing improvement in his deficient areas like Burrow did down the stretch in 18.

Well, I guess tigerdroppings posters can also grow, learn and get better too.

I'm not saying he definitely will improve, but I've seen some potential for improvement in enough moments this year where if he learns to fully trust the offense and his receivers he can break out in 2023.
