If you told me we’d be 5-1 without context I would’ve been pretty happy. If you had then provided context such as: - Clemson is actually dog shite this year - UF and SC would be a combined 5-5 outside of their games against LSU - Our offense won’t score more than 23 points against any P4 opponent OR La Tech and looks consistently rudderless each game - Our schedule is way more backloaded than originally expected Then I’d be pretty concerned.

What if I told you the Defense would be 5th in PPG?

Yeah man if we lose 2 out the next 3 like many here have penciled in, everyone has a right to be pissed. Until that actually happens what the frick are yall so mad about?

Because we look like shite, we’re not an elite football team, we will never win a national championship or playoff game under Brian Kelly, and we’re paying him $10,000,000 to lose 4+ games every year. That’s what I’m pissed about and anyone who isn’t is a moron

I’m a BK supporter and the handling of the Nuss injury pissed me off.Having said that he has recruited well and getting better in the portal he is building a great roster.I will say he has to dump Sloan and Davis and if he doesn’t I could see it get real nasty in BR.

On offense we sure do!

Defensively we look better than we have in a decade.

We would be excited because we would expect a 5-1 record to be indicative of an amazing team. This team isn’t amazing.

Yes - I would - because I have reasonable expectations. Like - you don't get less of a win because of the way it looks. You don't get half of a win or 3/4 of a win because you win ugly. You get a whole win. 1 win. 5-1 ranked top 10 with everything still in front of us. Only loss is to a top 5 team on the road by 5 points. I'll take that - definitely have to execute going forward and improve each week - but I believe that they can.

True, which is why we never run a read option with nuss.

I’d say that’s great! Again, context matters. Clemson, SC, UF are simply bad offenses. UF probably closer to average with the talent they have.

The overall point is that this is clearly not sustainable against the better half of our schedule coming up. I can be happy we’re 5-1 but also understand that it’s far more likely this is a repeat of last year than us going 10-2.

Doesn’t mean I’m less of a fan than the people who can’t remove their P&G glasses to analyze things.

THIS, well stated thank you.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I think we've all watched enough football to know where this team is. All we can hope is that finally, finally they will have a complete game. If they do, watch out.

Some of us can see what lies ahead for this offensively challenged team.

I think most vans want to be optimistic but with the struggles on offense. With the remaining games being the toughest part of our schedule if the offense doesn’t get better, it’s going to be 9-3 possibly 8-4. If we miss the playoffs is going to be a colossal failure

I thought our first L would come at bama

I would have taken it but look at the process. Is this sustainable?

Yes, I have not changed. I have 9-3 and going to the Gator Bowl. If anything, 9-3 may turn into 8-4, so I have lowered my expectations.
