Prisoner of the moment much?

Another clueless fan. In just his second season. Aranda beat the top 3 teams in their conference, OU, Texas, and OSU.

A fricking Big 12 Championship at Baylor is unreal. Only the 3rd time in 27 years. That is elite

To be more precise, it’s their third in eight years. And their 6th double digit winning season in a decade. This isn’t the hapless Baylor we grew accustomed to before Briles.

Some LSU fans just won’t give Aranda his due. Not sure why?

Baylor has an easier path to the playoffs so it’s possible.

In his second year Dave has already won a conference title.

did this with players the previous coach recruited.

Has as many top 5 wins with players recruited around 25th in the country as Kelly does with players recruited around 12th in the country. Has 1 less top 10 win than Kelly has in the last 12 years.

He took over a team that in 2019 only lost to OU and UGA. He went 2-7 with that team and turned it around this year.

He’s a good coach and caught some breaks this season with a down OU year.

I’ll be more impressed when he’s over 0.500 against any Big 12 opponent outside of Kansas.

I agree Aranda is an elite defensive coach and coordinator. I like what he has done at Baylor, yet way too early to call him an elite HC.

That being said, I still think we should have pursued him until he agreed to come home.

We made the wrong choice when we hired O instead of Aranda but not by hiring BK

I am excited about Kelly but hey, Aranda was my first choice.

And is there a chance we are kicking ourselves in a few years for not hiring him in 2021? Of course there is.

I don’t wish for that because I am first a fan of LSU and not the coach, unlike the Orgeron and Miles fan boys of the last sixteen years.

I wish Dave all the success in the world. I just don’t want him to come back and haunt us in a scenario like mentioned—as the coach of, ugh, the gumps or elsewhere in the SEC besides LSU.

Pump the brakes. Let’s see if he sustains it before we anoint him king. Mike Archer was 10-1-1 in his first year at LSU and then had consecutive losing seasons. Aranda may be the real thing but slow down whippersnapper before jumping to hasty conclusions.

AFIK he was the highest paid Assistant in the country. Just sayin'

What conference was that? Baylor gets their stool pushed in if they play an SEC team.

Didn’t Aranda come out and say he wasn’t interested in leaving this year at the beginning?

This...plus he may win multiple conference titles but he is going to be in a water downed conference with his toughest opponents being Okie State and soon to be Cincy on a yearly basis...he knows this so why leave when you have the opportunity to establish dominance in a soft conference to get to the CFP...
