Winning a game like today could jump start this "boring" team into more inspired play and hopeful winning streak.
Pitching is legit and our hitting overall is legit. Defense has got to step it up in the infield. Timely hitting (as always) will determine the Tigers fate. They are getting there. This was a MAJOR step in the upwards direction. Great confidence and morale builder IMHO. JJ was spot on when he thought LSU deserved to win. Possibly losing this game w 3rd run scoring on an 0-2 HBP, error on pickoff, and right fielder falling down on attempted throw at home would have been devastating. Teams mindset was awesome today!

I’m rooting for 40 wins to put a regional host bid beyond all doubt. Magic number would be 11:

If we won both Bama and Ole Miss 2-1, and went 1-2 against Vandy that would not be a disappointment to me. That would make us 17-13, which would be a remarkable finish for this team.
