You know we’re going to get some pleasant big time performances/surprises. I’ll say:

-Jackson rushes for 150+
-Womack w 2 sacks

Who ya got???

I have this strange random feeling that Pimp will catch the 1st TD of the game on a redzone jump ball. Kyren Lacy will have a monster game.

On defense Greg Penn may not do anything splashy but he’s gonna rack up tackles and be solid in the run game.

I think you’re right but I also think there’s a version of the game where we’re just leaning on them and just playing punishing football.

KJ is the absolute sledgehammer in this backfield and those softies will be making business decisions.

Love the guy, but Jackson is 3rd on the RB depth chart right now. He probably won't stay there, but for game 1 he is.

I think Nuss & Perk are the two obvious choices so excluding them makes this an interesting bit of speculation. I think Jackson also makes a lot of sense. Womack is also a solid choice IMO.

I'm going to wishcast a bit and pick two guys I hope take leaps forward.

Kyren Lacy & Sage Ryan

Lacy is not a huge leap, we all expect him to at least be very good, I am hoping for a Belintnikoff type of year.

If Sage takes a step forward, it will indicate a significant improvement in the overall defense in my mind and a guy finally living up to his full potential.

I can dream.

Based on what? Everything I have seen makes me think he is second behind Williams. Who do you have as second?

I also think he’s our best back overall too, frankly. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a ton of carries Sunday.

That isn't the rumblings coming out of practices by the media but I could see that if Emery has taken the step forward we have all been waiting for.
