Gio transferring to Duke

Didn’t see this anywhere on the first few pages. Per his Twitter, Gio will be a Blue Devil.

Wish him well - always loved his speed, which Johnson apparently doesn’t know how to use.
He obviously takes academics seriously too so I hope he has success in both areas.

I was critical of CJJ all last season. Lack of emphasis on defense, no running game, slow pace of play.
Gio sat on the bench while balls consistently got past our corner OFs. He should have been called on to bunt a lot more - it always took a perfect throw to get him.
Just don’t like the MLB approach of relying on power in the college game. Don’t like it in the pros either but that’s a horse of a different color.
