Its early but if I remember right it was early in the game we were not even behind bad yet in that game...and as far as the fake punt I got no problem Miles did it or if it happen to us you play your game full throttle I've seen to many times teams go conservative and end up losing...make the other team make a play to stop you I don't care how much you are up by...GT is just pissed because they believed they were gonna stomp us and they got outplayed and outcoached BAD!

Does anybody realize that Georgia Tech put 20+ on UGA in one quarter? Does anybody remember the flack Les took for getting conservative against Tenn in 2005? I'm sure you guys don't.

They did not score points off of it so quit bitching. All it did was run a little more clock off and get GT pinned inside the 20. Any football fan would say it worked with what the results ultimately were from it. He did not even do high percentage plays. Jefferson was throwing deep into double coverage and never really a wide open man. If anything they should have got a pick from the plays but they didn't. All I ould say to Georgia Tech fans is next time if you are disappointed in your opponent, don't go public with it, you just fuel a fire to receive an arse whooping.

What is funny is if GTech was up by the same margin and they pulled this play, EVERY LSU fan would be whining.

I don't get it..........OU is praised for scoring 60 pts 4 straight games and LSU just practices plays in the 2nd half of a blow out and people still aint happy..........

I thought the fake punt was great. I mean, why not. We are plaing for style points, aren't we?
GT just bit off more than they could chew last night.
I think that game puts us back in the top 25 and will help with our preseason rankings next year.

I liked the play. It is not a secret that our defense struggled this year. All he did was give the defense more time to rest and run some clock off. We are kind of known over the years for blowing leads late in the game, uh like Arkansas.
And a little off topic, but the GTech coach must be an idiot. Everyone knows you run crossing patterns against our linebackers. That guy is a moron for that and several other bonehead decisions last night.

Faking a punt between the 40s, with a big lead is NOT classless. Moving the chains is part of running the clock out. Faking a FG in the 4th quarter with a 4 touchdown lead - that might be considered a little over the top. Throwing the ball deep against an SEC opponent, in their stadium, with a 40+ point lead in the 4th quarter (just because you can) is worth retaliating for. Not faking a punt to help you run the clock out.

Do I need to pull up all the post from the past where people are bashing USC, UF, OU for running up scores passing the ball and running trick plays? It is a shame how when LSU does it, it makes it right in the LSU fan's eye. Double standard FTW.

Didn't we run a fake punt from inside of our ten yard line when we played Miami in the Peach Bowl?

He likely is now.
As for the fake punt, who cares? It's a bowl game. It's for the players to go out and have fun. He also ran a fake punt vs. Miami in 05. I don't think he had it "in" for anyone that day. He may just figure that it's the last game so screw it...let's pull out all the stops and let the guys have fun.
