True, and do the also show themselves to their new teammates as unreliable quitters?

I think there is balance to be had here, but what’s going on at present is NOT balance. It’s just quitting, and it leaves the door open to teams poaching other teams talent. This isn’t good for football, not in the way it is at present. It is like divorce. Maybe we need to make it a little harder to get one.

Not everyone in the portal is there because they quit. Everyone who is unemployed isn't in that situation because they quit. There's nuance to situations in life.

Not at all. I'd ask a LOT of questions. And that's not an apples to apples argument anyway.

Not a solid argument. Adapting and overcoming could be leaving a current situation behind.

Sometimes places aren’t a good fit for kids. It has to be incredibly hard making life changing decisions at 18,19,20 years old. It’s a free country, move on with your life and do what’s best for you. Same reason you’d change a job you hate in your professional life.

It’s like they say, the grass may seem greener on the other side, but you still have to mow that shite.

That attitude is gone. Transferring does not necessarily equate with quitting. The players are doing what they think is in their best interest. Who among us does not do the same thing? Would you want to be stuck in the crap program that LSU has become?

Not at all the same thing. Two of these were graduates and pursued an opportunity. Others have not fulfilled their current obligations.

This is such a bad argument. The players are a part of the crap program, and if they stay they get a chance to turn it around. By your logic, all teams that have a bad season should have all their best players transfer to Bama and Ohio St. Hard to turn it in the right direction when you leave because you had a bad season.

Cam was stealing laptops dog, and thank God he was. Florida and Urban having Cam would have sucked way harder than Auburn

I get it. I agree. But we just got a new coach that quit his former team Let them transfer; we’ll be fine.

I still think the rule of sitting a year and losing a year of eligibility should still stand or go to FCS schools and play right away. The good part that came from the transfer portal is the fact that coaches can no longer deny a transfer or dictate where a player can or cannot go.

this is so freaking stupid and old school. I wish we could go back but they opened pandoras box with NIL.....CFB players are nothing more than employees now and should treat schools like employers. they should take the best offer and go to the school that offers the most oppurtunity and if a new guy is brought in....they should be free to leave....just like you if you got a new boss you didnt mesh with.

just like old school people that stay at one company 35 years and wonder how someone 20 years younger is suddenly making more than them.....duh because they are smart and bounce for more money every couple years.

its simple..stay and compete and if you lose the job move to another company(school) that offers another chance. or in max's case...if you dotn like the direction of the new boss...find a new employer.

LSU had much more than a "bad season". The place was toxic because of the former HC. He is an infantile ego maniac. He recruited a lot of bad players, hire bad coaches. Teenagers are affected by that. Some use such a toxic environment to behave badly as well, others just want to leave. Teenagers are impulsive and immature themselves. Most want instant gratification. They do not know Brian Kelly.

Coach Kelly needs to make very clear his expectation for the program and everyone in it. I have little doubt that he is already doing this. Some may not like what he has to say. That is too bad. I think the days of sloughing/jerking off are over. He will get the kind of players that want to play for the team, not just themselves.

I welcome this new chapter of LSU football despite the fact that I was stunned by the hire.

Yeah he came from a Jr College. He was kicked out of the Univ of Florida program. So saying this is very petty to say the least.
