Simmons sure seems to rile up the retards of this board as much or more than any other topic I can remember. Is he supposed to say that spending less than a year at LSU because he wasn't allowed to go to the NBA yet and playing for an absolute clown of a head coach was the most enriching experience of his life? I'm still just waiting for someone to explain what is so egregious about what he said.

Exactly. There is one person that is responsible for the crap show with Simmons year at LSU...and he wore a suit in tie during the games.

I'm not rooting for or against Ben Simmons. I don't care about what he does in the NBA any more or less than any other player.

He's good at basketball. Good for him.

Not a tiger tho.

Wouldn’t know. Maybe because he touts that he learned nothing at LSU and that it was a waste of time.

Yea the same way college bball would have been a waste of time for lebron or Kobe. Its not lsu he hating against its the system that made him waste a year in college he is saying he didnt learn anything. And i mean his college coach wasnt the best

Good for Garrett. A true Tiger from a true Tiger family. UHS to LSU. Similar to players we have this year.

Glad to see him win over "Paper Tiger" BS .. great player but not great Tiger

Glad to see Temple doing well. Good for LSU to have two former Tigers facing off in primetime.

What did you learn about budgeting in your first year of college?
What could the LSU coaching staff that was here teach you about basketball? How do you react when you go to work and your dumbass boss continually interferes with your production and maybe your future? Do you not vent when you leave the workplace?

When a young athlete makes a mistake and gets into trouble, embarrasses himself, his family, and LSU, how many are quick to say, "the young man deserves a second chance". Does Simmons, who has done nothing to embarrass anyone not deserve the same consideration?
Get off his arse.

I met him and Hornsby (and Bruce) a few times at lsu football tailgates. They could have not been more engaging and polite despite having 1,000 people coming up and bothering them constantly.

I talked to Hornsby and his dad for over an hour at one of the games. Bruce couldn't be a better guy and hated the idea of taking any attention away from his son's LSU experience.

Ben's a good kid despite what this board thinks

And last time I checked the kids a rookie not exactly a leader yet.
Rookies can't be leaders? Especially when they're the no. 1 pick?

Oh, and he's not a rookie.

He's not the veteran presence is their locker room, but he's running the show and playing extremely well.

I mean it took Lebron years to truly grow into that role. Name me a rookie NBA player who's the leader of their team.

Well he's going to with Rookie of the year....
