His last 3 games he completed 75.7%, 71% and 70.6% of his passes. Averaged 304 ypg and increased his ypa to 8.9. 8.9 and 9.0. The final 3 games also yielded 7 TDs vs 1 INT.

Those all are positive signs going into 2025.

Nuss threw 10 TD and 9 INT in the 2nd half this year. 4 TD and 5 INT in the 4th quarter. Not including today.

That must change.

And 8 TDs vs 1 INT the last 4 so it just might be changing.

I think he has the potential to be very good.

He has trouble diagnosing coverages after the snap and takes too long looking at things before the snap.

if he can figure that out he’ll cut out a decent chunk of his interceptions and be able to operate more in rhythm.

I was pretty down on him but he’s really come alive the last 2 games.

He literally played like he had a concussion during the 3 week losing streak

No Dellinger or CJ Daniels. It is like taking a child’s security blanket away.
LSU was pure trash deep and running the ball. I don’t understand why people can’t recognize that. He ran for his life versus UF where 3 freshmen/RS Freshman started on the interior of the Oline. It wasn’t a coincidence when it happened. Look the TAMU game first half versus second.

funny how he threw the same pick Nayden Daniels did on. Sunday night football is DE / LB shows pressure and drops into coverage

It’s all on video. We can’t run it, never commit to the run game anyway, Chester gets mauled at least every other game, no deep threat so we’re playing vs compressed coverages that don’t respect the run with a giant hole, right up the middle on our Oline. Not ideal for a QB

Exactly. Add the ability to pressure due to multiple linemen being out so backers or DE can drop instead of blitz as they can ignore the run game.

Too many picks. Way.Too.Many.

He has to cut out the really bad ones where he’s forcing the ball when there’s no play to be had. He had one again yesterday. I’m a Nuss fan overall, but this is the thing that can keep him from becoming elite next season.

If he can cut down the INTs and make some positive gains and first downs with his legs when the opportunity is there, then he takes the next step as a QB.

Nuss wasn't the reason for our record. Once again it was poor defense and the inability to make adjustments on the fly by the coaching staff.

Nuss is good our receivers were suspect, no run game he did a hell of a job with what he was given to work with. He has faults I think he will correct them and we will be very competitive next year.

This is crazy. Nuss missed open WR's downfield all season long. This was an ongoing problem.

Idk what team you watched bro the receiver group this year was immensely underwhelming. Anderson was a bright spot, lacy was at times when he wasn't showboating. Sampson a 5 star couldn't even get on the field here.

Imagine if he could catch and be a dependable WR. If he would have played himself into becoming a first round WR this year.

If Nuss had one WR on the level of the guys mentioned in the OP he would’ve had 5000 yards and 50 TDs. I thought 4000 yards and 40 TDs was a lot when I predicted it early on but he easily gets 40 TDs to go along with his 4000 yards if WRs don’t drop TDs.

I can’t wait to watch him lead LSU next year.

Imagine if Nussmeier could have got him the ball all the times he was open. He would have had 1200 yards and 13 TDs

The only thing Nuss did poorly was turn the ball over and take sacks. If he cleans those up significantly, he’ll be a Heisman contender.

He only took 16 sacks all year. He does need to be better at ball security when taking the few sacks he takes.

For comparison Sanders took 42 sacks this year and 52 last year.

JD took 43 his first year starting and Burrow 35.

Thats the first thing I thought of when he threw that pick. Was very similar to JDs on Sunday night football.

You have to consider how many times he threw the ball when discussing his picks. if you look at his interception percentage (dividing his INTs by pass attempts) which allows you to compare QBs regardless of how many times they throw, he was not terrible. Not great but not terrible. He ranks 47th in Int %, ahead of guys like Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, and Carson Beck. He only threw one pick over his last four games (149 attempts). Still, he needs to be better than 47th if we are going to make the playoffs. If he plays like he did over the last four, that will not be an issue.

It will lose LSU at least one game if it continues. It is amazing he hasn't figured this out.
